We can only judge what we know over the past 3 months. In the emergency rescue he was described as a sweet loving boy, when he was being assessed he was described as a sociable dog that needed the love of a good home. He was extremely nervous around males when he was collected but starting to relax around male workers now

This is a very sad case of a beautiful male black Cane Corso dumped on a busy main Road in Aylesbury.
The poor dog stood still at roadside shivering, petrified until a well meaning car stopped to help him. They dog was friendly and accepted help. He had a metal spiked collar around his neck and head wounds the dog had also been injured. They didn’t manage to locate the owner and they were told they don’t want him. From conversation it ‘appeared’ he was used as bait.

To add to the dogs misery a time was put on his head to PTS.

H4P rescued the dog he is now safe on a rescue until we find the right home for him.

We are looking for a kind family with children over 16 not a busy over energetic environment we think after his ordeal a more solitary lifestyle would be beneficial.
Ideally someone who wishes to Adopt is what we are looking for we don’t want him moved around again it’s cruel but we are prepared to foster as long as adoption is the final outcome

ABOUT 4 MONTHS OLD

This beautiful little girl was recently rescued outside of a hospital in Cyprus.
She currently has no home. Let's see if we can change that!

After all she has been through she is still surprisingly a very happy little girl. Summer really lives up to her name and is a ray of sunshine! She might be playful like any other puppy, adoring play time with the other puppies, but she is also quiet and gentle. She is good around other dogs and people and we think she will fit into a family setting or can be with a couple or the best friend of a single person if they can give her the time she deserves.

Summer is also very clever. We know she will be easily trainable and will enjoy training and doing tasks. She is house trained and used to being on a lead.

Once a home is found she can be prepped for travel.

Thor's story is a sad one—due to unforeseen circumstances in his current family, they are unable to keep him any longer and he will be handed into a Pound. second picture is Rosie about to leave Romania to arrive this weekend doesn't she have lovely markings to match her lovely nature.

Rosie, is an absolute sweetheart. In spite of being abandoned in a field when she wasn’t much more than a puppy, Rosie just loves everyone, adults, children, other dogs and cats too.
She loves attention and cuddles and is very affectionate. Rosie loves her walks and is good on the lead. She is also housetrained.
Just one year old and 10kgs she would be a perfect family dog.

she is used to being left every day for a few hours but she always has company, Roua, the resident dog, 4 or 5 cats and a child

Just look who is arriving this weekend - adorable little Yorkie, Honey, her siblings are due in two weeks time. Bundles of love and mischief. Honey, Maple and Onyx, ( We have been calling Onyx ‘Orin’ as we like that name even more) These gorgeous pups will be fostered in Plymstock and are ready for adoption. They are four and a half months old and need adopters who commit to training them and having them neutered when they are old enough.

This dog has a lovely home where the owner was able to take her to work, everyone in the office adored her.
Now the doggie creche at work has closed and the dog has to stay at home it is too much for her with a working mum full time Bella is a young active dog.

Background

This dog has been rescued from a ‘Kill Station’. He was found on the streets of Huelva Spain .
Abandoned tied up in a secluded place for a week, with no food or water to die alone in the worst way.
In his last breath without strength, he called for help crying from a man who was ploughing the land nearby. Nobody helped this poor dog so the man took him to a kill station he is just a pup.

We are looking for a loving forever home for this dog who would otherwise have died. He has been saved and is now in a rescue receiving veterinary treatment, food , rest, assessment and training.

He is a stunning young husky cross breed with no colour eyes he is a stunning looking dog and would make an amazing family pet.

Tiny unfortunately had to have one of her rear legs amputated but she is now thriving!

Poppy is a lovely border collie rescued after she was attacked by another dog.

She is approximately 5 years old, currently in Cyprus but can travel to the UK end of August.

She lives in the same kennel as another dog, and is generally dog friendly, although will not tolerate nonsense and tells dogs off if required.

She is very affectionate and cuddly.

PRINCE

Prince has been at Duskhunter Cottage for a few weeks now and it's wonderful to see him settling in and coming out of his shell. We now think he is ready to find his forever home.

Who knows what Prince had been through, but when he first arrived he was a very scared boy. We're happy to say he is now a content boy, happy to receive attention and to be living in a home.

Whoever takes Prince will have to be patient with him and give him the time he needs to settle into his new surroundings. It will be worth it! He is a very calm, gentle soul who will be a very loving and loyal companion.

He is 7 years old and we feel the only way he can continue to flourish is to be in a home of his own.

Very good with other dogs and no bite tendency at all he will go and hide rather than challenge

He loves to be with you and when he knows you comes up for cuddles a really good boy no food agression or aggression of any kind

Meet Hera a lovely gentle/calm natured girl about three years old She is living with other dogs and a lady in her 70's with no problems. She has not been cat tested as there are no cats with the foster lady but judging by everything else about her nature she should be a good girl

The dogs in this shelter are unlucky enough to have been born in a place where they are considered a nuisance. we cannot save every dog yet neither can we ignore those that are brought before us.
a very small amount donated from a lot of people would make a large contribution to the shelter without anyone needing to experience hardship
