This is Archie a gentle boy, Up-to-date with all vaccinations. He loves walks and has many doggie friends but due to his owner's health issues needs a new home. Not used to young children. Can be with other dogs once introduced. He loves his treats and strokes. Archie is a very loving dog and very gentle. about three years old.
His present owner has walked him twice a day and he loves it but now unable to do so. He is in North Plymouth if you would like to see him

This imposing dog is Grandad from Greece. He is a senior dog and lucky to be alive, a sweetheart of a dog who will be in Plymouth 9th March and looking for somewhere to retire to where he can live out his remaining days in peace - another gentle giant.

Rosie here is fully housetrained, at just 18 months she is really still a puppy and likes to play like one. About 26inches to the shoulder. A very good natured dog she is submissive to the other dogs that arrived here before her. Joseph is half her weight so trying to give a good show of being fierce and Lucy who is smaller yet again is acting as referee. All good natured dogs and all except for Joseph, up for adoption at Duskhunter cottage dog rescue PL6 7BU

Beautiful boy Baloo is a softie with people and great with the cat and the dog he shares his home with but his owner cannot manage both dogs on the lead when out he pulls and can be reactive to some dogs, but by no means all. For this reason he wears a muzzle when off lead.

He has good recall and is a really loveable boy, typical staffie behaviour, but he needs someone who is able to train him further so that he doesn't pull.
He is not destructive in the home but happy to chew on his own toys, bones. He likes to bring something of his to you when you come home and fine to be left while his owner goes out without him, very affectionate & wants to sit near you or on you.
He is in Plymouth waiting for someone to love him!!

Staffy x baloo is with his owner in Plymouth who is no longer able to keep him is too strong on the lead for her.

Baloo is a male staffy cross. He is 3 years, 6 months old (04/08/21) He weighs about 30kgs, is neutered, chipped & fully vaccinated.

Poor baloo has had to move from his first home when his first owner became really ill and the lady who has him now took him in as an emergency but finding him too strong on the lead, she has mobility issues.

Such a sweet natured girl we think she is a griffon x hunting breed abandoned in the mountainous regions of Greece. Probably dumped there because she is not any good at hunting.

takes no notice of cats

Quite shy with people initially but soon warms up.
Walks quite well on the lead. Submissive with other dogs but enjoys their company - altogether a very sweet girl.

She's so bouncy and happy running free
Her nose is always down to sniff, typical hunting dog

FAMILY DOG GREAT WITH PEOPLE AND GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS

R0SIE IS OUR GOREOUS GREEK GIRL just a cuddly bundle of puppy but gentle natured and good with the other dogs here. Doesn't bother with cats either.
she is a joy to have here always happy with everything and everyone. Don't be put off by her size she is not a problem because of it - she really is a case of a big and gentle dog.
she is very responsive to training and commands but I don't have the time to do this with so many dogs here. she is ready to make the best family pet.

29 kg about 26in to the shoulder

Tall, slender, black girl, mastin cross has a lovely majestic air about her, definitely a dog with presence.

Very friendly, submissive with dogs and people, still has a lot of puppy behaviour - would make a great family dog.

Can walk on the lead, enjoyed her trip into the centre of town recently, was pretty relaxed on the busy road and took it all in without fretting.

Saw a cat and other dogs at the vets. Paid no attention to the cat, was wagging her tail and wanting to meet the dogs.

Loves a game with kibble!
Her nose is continually down to sniff to find a bit of kibble if she can 😂

Sadly, Faith recently lost her puppies but the Vet kindly let her stay until we found a foster placement.

Faith is happy in the company of the other dogs at her new foster home but she is so loving and loyal and it's clear that she really craves human affection, we urgently need to find her a forever home with her own human/s!!

Lily ADORES children and will even try to join in on a game of football. She is also calm and sweet in nature and sleeps quietly through the night.

Sadly, Lily has had to go to kennels. She is not coping! We want to get her a home asap.

This little girl is far too small to survive alone on the street so she has been rescued and taken to a vet for health checks, essential vaccines and parasite treatment. She will be moving from the vets to a foster placement but this is only guaranteed for 1 week. We'll be able to share more information about Tiny once she is in her foster home.

Have you ever considered fostering a dog? So very rewarding especially if you don't want to commit to full time ownership but miss having the company of a four legged friend.
So many of our lovely dogs are not going to be able to be viewed for adoption unless we have offers to foster.
Please give it some serious thought it is an amazing thing to do being instrumental in enabling a dog to be rehomed.
We can supply bed collar/harness and lead and take care of any vet bills if required.
Maybe you are not sure about taking the plunge to dog ownership but like the idea.
Fostering can be for a few weeks often more. and is a really rewarding way to have a dog in your life and get you out and about.
Especially at this time of year when it is freezing in many of the colder European shelters where the water freezes solid and dogs are lucky if they have straw to lie on. To be able to foster a dog here is life changing for that dog.
