I'm super disappointed and upset the event this Sunday been cancelled but I understand the pressures the event organisers are under with the current hot weather and the importance animal welfare needs to be considered first even if the likelihood was the weather this Sunday was due to be much cooler in Mount Edgecombe... However I have made alot of risks and sacrifices in hopes to network more with the community and without the necessary sales this Sunday this could be the tipping point for my small, local buisness as a sole trader I do rely on each paycheck 😔 and unfortunately it has put the position of my buisness in a vulnerable predicament. I have spent over 3 weeks spending out and prepping new displays and getting more additional and new stock in especially for this event which now will be potentially go to waste with a ever looming wholesale bill due. Unfortunately I have other commitments on the 1st October so willnt be able to make the new date for this event. May I ask if you ever consider trying my treats or supporting my small buisness... This is the time to do it! 🙏🙏🙏 I giving a FLASH SALE ⚡ with a automatic 10% discount for any order made between now and Saturday. I am away the 11th-18th September so orders will be suspended between these dates, untill I return.

It is lovely to have Tresco back from his holidays. He was keen to make up for the last two weeks he's missed out on our adventures, and was darting about enthuthiastically exploring the undergrowth.

Yesterday, Molly met Fudge and they hit it off. I hope this continues as it is rare for Fudge to have the confidence to play with a dog she does not know. I think Salty, the dog Fudge lives with, was surprised at just how much fun she was having!

A week with Jasper and Rufus, carrying out enrichment games, relationship-based training, field runs and sniffaris ☀️

It was particularly lovely to see Rufus. Last year, he completed my Puppy Training Course and at times was quite a handful. I am proud to say he is growing into a calm, confident, and happy young dog. This is rubbing off on Jasper, a sensitive boy, who is more at ease now he has Rufus for a 'little brother' and playmate. 💛

Mabel was a little star on her trip out with me to Mount Edgecombe. Her caregivers have worked jolly hard during her early development and adolescence to socialise her appropriately and expose her safely to new experiences. And it shined through.

Mabel calmly met strangers and other dogs, we explored the field and event setup with lots of sniffing, she played in the grass with a toy, and settled calmly on her blanket with a chew before napping. I brought a rucksack packed with things that might be needed or helpful for Mabel, and many of these items were used throughout the evening as I adapted to Mabel's needs.

Put the work in, be prepared, and it will pay off - Mabel is flourishing into a well balanced, confident, relaxed adult dog. A successful trip, a happy pup, and a proud dog trainer!

Puppies can be hard work at times, and it's normal for most people to have moments of worry and despair. So, being prepared and thinking about how you're going to troubleshoot common problems and deal with potential struggles, in advance, can help reduce stress and frustration, for both you and your puppy.

I recently had a 121 puppy consultation with Dexter, a Labrador Retriever. His caregiver is keen to do things right by Dexter and ensure she creates an environment for him to develop and flourish in a manner that is in keeping with his natural essence as a dog, so that he grows up to be a calm, confident and well-balanced dog. Dexter is a lucky boy. I am looking forward to seeing them again in Puppy Life Skills Classes!
