Two new custom made enclosures were sent off to the lovely Marianne for some of her isopods 🌿

These are essentially a longer version of our critter keeper range with 2mm vent holes, as the following sizes:

🔸35x15x15cm
🔸30x10x10cm

We think these are the ideal size for keeping on shelves or ledges that aren’t very deep, whilst offering good floor space for small to medium isopod species!

Are these something we should add to the website? We’d love to hear your thoughts 💭

Sorry for the silence!

Running a business whilst juggling life and a health condition is hard, but keeping up with social media seems even harder 😖

I picked up this African Violet off a reduced shelf for £1 a few years ago and the blooms get better each year!
The flowers look like glitter which never fail to make me smile 🤩

Something that doesn’t make me smile though are these important changes to our service:

‼️WINDSOR FRAMEWORK/ LAW CHANGES -
from 1st May 2025, we NO longer ship Live Animals or Plants to Northern Ireland. Enclosure orders should not be affected ‼️

Our FIRST international enclosure order ✈️

We had the pleasure of sending a custom enclosure to Germany, a first ever for us! 🇩🇪
It arrived safe and sound and we can’t wait to see it all set up.

This was a 30x30x30cm cube enclosure with:
-top-opening polycarbonate door
-cross ventilation in the top third

This size is super versatile and can house a range of inverts including tarantulas, scorpions, small millipedes, snails, cockroaches, isopods and more 🤩

We have done a few of these enclosures recently and we’re happy with the final design!
We’ll be adding this size to the website very soon 🙌

Had a few oddballs pop up in the Armadillidium gestroi bin!

These look very similar to A. klugii ‘Nebula’ but I haven’t come across the gestroi version. They remind me of army camo. Any thoughts on what these could be?

Sorry for the silence!

We had a hectic January and my mental health took a bit of a hit, so social media was put on hold. The good news is we’re catching up with enclosure orders so thank you for being patient if you’re waiting 🙏

Here’s a custom order we did last year for Greg at Cornwall Beetles (tagged so you can give their page a follow), which I’m finally getting round to posting 🫢

This order was made up of 3 components-
- single panel with port hole
- ‘mid-ground’ enclosure with port holes
- nest enclosure

This order is being used to house Messor barbarus harvester ants, which are being raised in the nest and will be incorporated into a tiger beetle breeding enclosure. The single panel will be fitted into their enclosure and the ants can travel via the port hole 💡

The beetle larvae require an ants nest for their development which makes this species hard to breed in captivity. Almost all beetles in the hobby are wild caught, so if this experiment works, it could be the start of captive bred Egyptian tiger beetles! 🪲

Happy 2025 everyone! 🎆

A bit late I know, but we’re back from our much needed Christmas break and it’s time to give our socials some much needed attention.

A customer sent in this amazing pic of their EntoScapes Medium Arboreal Enclosure, and I couldn’t wait to share it!

Isn’t it just amazing 🤩

We’re waiting on our first batch of acrylic for the new year and then enclosure production recommences. New orders have already started flying in, so it looks like we’re back to being busy bees 🐝

Live order shipping has been postponed until the weather improves. As you all know we prioritise livestock welfare over everything, but if you do order live inverts then we’ll keep you updated when it’s safe to send!
