A lot can change in just a few years!

Before I found dog grooming, I felt directionless and lonely. I never thought I’d be in this line of work - I was always a square sat behind a desk typing away. But when the pandemic hit and I was feeling unfulfilled at work, I began watching dog grooming videos as they appeared on my feed. It’s never something I had considered before, but something about it compelled me, and after much consideration and thinking ‘can I REALLY do this?’, I took the plunge and applied to do my level 2 at Duchy college. I fell in love and never looked back 💕

I’m still young at 28 and have so much further to go, and I have ideas for this little business of mine that even a year ago would’ve blown my mind!

There’s always time to try something new and consider what you could be 🥰

With the ever increasing amount of dog groomers popping up everywhere, don’t get caught out by a rogue groomer. All pet professionals should have the relevant experience, qualifications, first aid training, insurances, hygiene practices, and care.

Don’t leave your best friend in the hands of a cheap knock-off groomer - if their prices are too good to be true, it’s probably because they are. Your dog deserves the utmost care, not someone who takes shortcuts to earn a quick buck. Make sure when scouting for a dog groomer to ask plenty of questions to gauge the legitimacy of the groomer. Never risk your dog’s health for the sake of saving some pennies and a hack job.

I’m sad to report that the lovely Toby passed over the rainbow bridge this weekend 🌈 Toby was one of my earliest clients and himself and his mum have supported me with their regular custom which I am forever grateful for. I will miss seeing you Toby, you were such a character ❤️

This here is Izzie, she’s a cocker x westie. Usually, dogs are bathed, dried, and styled all in the salon alone, but this wasn’t the case for Izzie.

Izzie is 16 years old, deaf, going blind, and has recently developed a heart condition. Last time she came in she unfortunately took a bit of a turn and freaked out, and given her health issues, we decided to reapproach how she’s groomed. Izzie’s parents and I decided she would be bathed at home the night before and come in just for a clip to make her as comfortable as possible and avoid as much stress as possible. Mum stayed for the groom to make sure she was ok, and although she doesn’t look perfect, I’m sure she feels a lot better for it 😊

Buzz & Oreo both turn 10 today!! A whole decade of those two rascals wreaking havoc on this Earth! Wouldn’t have it any other way 💕 as for myself, well I’ll never tell 🤫 so blessed to celebrate with these two 🎉🎂

🚨Attention!!🚨

Please read concerning important information:

➡️ All dogs will be required to be on a lead when arriving or leaving the salon. This is for safety reasons as there may be other dogs around and I have lost income as clients have become too stressed by other dogs unrestrained. Carrying dogs is also acceptable.

➡️ Failure to cancel appointments without 24 hours notice will incur a fee. This is to prevent loss of income to myself as often hundreds of pounds can be lost to last minute cancellations and no shows.

➡️ A reminder that prices increase from tomorrow (1st Feb) in line with rising costs. As a solo groomer working from a rented unit and not from home my prices need to reflect the overheads which come with this additional cost.

Pyometra is a deadly infection in unspayed females, however it is not widely discussed or talked about.

I’ve put together some information on pyometra so you can be aware of what to look for you in your dog and give them the best care possible so nothing unfortunate happens to them.
