A huge thank you to Megan for these incredible gifts!
Megan made sweet cones and sold them to family and friends, raising so much money that she was able to buy all of these wonderful presents. She is working towards a Brownie charity badge and chose to help Woodside. We are very grateful for all her hard work, the pets here at the sanctuary will love the treats she bought!

Say hello to Barnaby, a very handsome Anglo-Nubian goat and the newest addition to the Woodside family.
This gentle giant arrived at the sanctuary over the weekend after his best friend was sadly injured and had to be put to sleep.
Heartbroken and depressed, lonely goat Barnaby arrived in search of friendship and has already won the hearts of everyone at the sanctuary with his floppy ears and affectionate ways.
After a few days of isolation, Barnaby will be introduced to resident goats Jean Paul Gaultier and Wee Man. However Barnaby doesn’t want to wait that long and has already tried nuzzling his way out of his enclosure to reach them– resulting in a gate needing to be replaced!
Welcoming Barnaby to the sanctuary didn’t happen without a hiccup or two. This long-legged lad was too tall for his first shelter and, under the cover of darkness, had to be moved to a bigger shelter more suited to his lofty stature.
We hope Barnaby will be very happy at Woodside, where he joins nearly 40 residents who, when a suitable home cannot be found, have a loving home for life at the sanctuary.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the organisers of Plympton Bike Nights, who have raised more than £1,300 for Woodside.
Over the summer, Plymouth Triumph and Plymouth Harley Davidson organised a series of six bike nights at the Plympton showrooms.
Hundreds of motorbike enthusiasts gathered to enjoy performances by local musicians, refreshments, exclusive offers and prizes, raising more than £1,345.
Organisers are now gearing up for their biggest year ever in 2025, with plans to have live bands performing, with proceeds again being donated to Woodside. We can’t wait!

These wonderful brothers are Bombel & Tuptus. They are both super inquisitive and friendly. Aged just 10 months. They are looking for a home with a hutch and run attached measuring no smaller than 6ft by 8ft, obviously larger is welcome. They love interaction so a home where there is time for this is required.

Thank you !

We are incredibly grateful to the late Jonny Morris for leaving Woodside a very generous legacy. Jonny was a Plymouth city councillor for Southway, who sadly died in June this year.
No matter where Jonny was or who he was with, he never missed an opportunity to stop and say hello to every cat and dog that he met. In gifting this legacy to Woodside, his family hopes that you too will take the opportunity to stop, say hello and consider opening your heart and home like Jonny did with a previous Woodside resident, Max.
Jonny and Tracey adopted Max from Woodside after meeting him on one of their visits to the sanctuary. Max became a very famous cat locally and online, he was the founding member of Pets for Labour on social media and loved sitting in boxes.
Thank you very much to Jonny and his family for the wonderful gift and for giving Max such a loving home.

Huge Thank You to all those whom have donated to us through Dunelm Delivering Joy Appeal. These donations were delivered at the weekend and will put to good use straight away. We really appreciate your kindness and donations. Still plenty of time to get involved - simply visit Dunelm and pick a tag of the tree with items we are in need of. Then return the items to the store by the date on the tag.

Poppy, Panko & Pip 🖤
A trio of 15 weeks old looking for homes. Poppy & Panko are very friendly and love a cuddle, Pip is a little shy but she is friendly and we think she will become a cuddly bug like her siblings in a new home, they all love to play and rough ans tumble with eachother. They are looking for homes without other pets but could live with dogs and children although Pip may prefer slightly older children 🐈‍⬛
These three had a bad case of cat flu when little, but thankfully are now recovered.

Ken & Shadow
We still can't quite believe this lovely pair are here with us. They are both male, Ken is 2/3 years old and Shadow is 10 years old. They can be a little shy around new people and will hide away initially but once they know you they are very loving 🥰 They are looking for a home with older children, no dogs and could potentially live with a female cat 🐈

24/10/2024

Trixie is a 13/14 year old sweet but shy lady. She loves attention and would prefer a home with no other cats, children over 14 years of age. She could potentially live with a quiet dog with a slow introduction. She can be shy of new people but she has shown staff here how sweet and gentle natured she is as she comes out for a fuss and some love when they are around. 💞

Cooper is a gentle lad. A Retriever X St Bernard, aged 5 years of age.
Sadly, Cooper’s owner passed away. He has lived with cats but can be fearful of dogs.
Cooper can be protective, especially when in the home. It is believed that he may have been mistreated by men in one of his previous homes as he can be reactive to men. For this reason we believe he is better to not live with children.
A new arrival. So far he is doing well here and has walked with many dogs and been out in a large group.
