Wildlife Wednesday!🦊🐦🦆🦢🦔🐾

Do you guys feed wildlife in your garden or on walks?
Here are 5 reasons why feeding wildlife in the winter is helpful to nature.☃
1. When the ground is frozen lots of birds and small animals cannot forage/ dig for worms and other insects who are a huge part of their diet.🪱
2. Some bird food contain suet or 'fat balls' which are very high in energy and gives them the boost they need in the cold weather to keep them nice and warm.🤩
3. Squirrels store their food for the winter but can sometimes forget where they have stashed it away! Feeding them helps them not go hungry.🐿
4. Winter feeding attracts a variety of bird species to your garden, which can be a great opportunity to see birds you might not normally see.🐦
5. In the winter, food can be really hard to find especially in frost or snow.❄️
