Tamara rode 4yo Linde and tells us ''I’m in no rush with Linde as she’s a young, big horse, but if she’s feeling strong enough and ready, I will enter for the 4yo young horse class, if not I hope to take her to some prelims and qualify her for the Petplan Winter Area Festivals and Regionals. I also have the ride on another rising 4yo, Bear, owned by Jane Cole, who I aim to qualify for Winter Area Festivals and Regionals at prelim this year.
I aim to qualify Pip for the summer area festivals at novice and elementary and start working towards some medium tests.''
Jane and her just turned 4 year old Total Goddess (Galina) sired by Total Spezial has picked back up her ridden work, after being backed and turned away last winter.
''I have slowly introduced walk, trot and canter paces within the school, with regular & consistent training sessions. Regular hacking and field canters are added into her training to add variation. After all, repetition and consistency are key, particularly within young horses learning the ropes.
I don’t have any immediate plans with Galina, as she is a horse for the future. This summer we will continue our training, and regularly visit my favourite place, The Talland School of Equitation, to receive the highest level of coaching.
Following last years success, Cefnbangor Rob Roy, will be competing in novice/elementary classes within the Petplan Summer Series. At home, he is training towards elementary/ medium level and I hope to be out competing at medium level in time for the Petplan winters.''
