Today is a very special day…Taking The Lead is 10 years old! 🥳🤩🙌

I have had the most amazing journey so far and I would like to thank all of my wonderful clients, their AMAZING pups and all my followers for all your incredible support and friendship over the last decade! 🙏🏻🤩🫶🏻❤️

I am also aware that I have been less active on my page over the last few months.

We have had to say goodbye to some very dear friends since the beginning of the year..Tilly, Frank and Diego. 🥺

There was also the devastating news of little Blue’s diagnosis.

Most of my pups have been with me since day one.
We have grown together, shared the most amazing moments together, walked miles together, played for hours together, cuddled and snuggled together, learned from each other and I am so grateful for ALL of the memories we have created together 🐶🤗❤️

This also means that we grow older together and with this comes the heartbreaking reality that one day we will have to say goodbye.

I’m not ashamed to say that it has been very hard for me and I have struggled with it.
The pain of saying goodbye and the grief is real.

I would like to thank those of you that have supported me through these hard times and have allowed me to talk and share how I have been feeling.
I really appreciate you, your understanding and your care over the past months. Thank you all 🙏🏻❤️

I would also like to thank all of my darling pups too 🤗🐶❤️
You have been there by my side through all of it…you continue to show me so much love and care and we have THE BEST TIMES together! 😁🙌
You have no idea how just being in your presence makes each day better and so very special. 🥰

I love you all dearly! You really are my best friends and I am looking forward to creating more magic memories with you all. 😘🐶😘

I will soon be going on my Summer Break.
A time for rest, reflection and re-cooperation ready for the next half of the year. 😄

💔R.I.P. Diego💔
It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of our dear friend Diego 😢😞
A little while ago we said goodbye to this gorgeous boy 😞
Diego came into our lives as a 6 month old mischievous, wild, leg nipping pup (we had the blood blisters to prove it 🥰).
It has been such a privilege to be a part of his life and watch him grow into the gentle, loving, caring dog that we loved so much ❤️
He was stubborn at times and would only walk when and where he wanted to 😂 and he absolutely loved driving around in car.
Many a morning I would get up at the crack of dawn and we would just drive around Plymouth listening to music together….Diego loved watching the world go by.
We will never forget you darling and love you dearly. ❤️🐶
Thank you for your friendship, love and the most wonderful cuddles….
We know you walk with us and are having so much fun in the pup park in the sky 🐾🌈 🫶🏻😘

To all my dear friends and followers,

Blue’s owners and myself would like you all to know about our dear boy Blue. 🐶💙
Some of you may already be aware that the last few months we have been aware of his mobility deteriorating.
After having a scan, it showed that he has badly compressed joints in the rear of his back. This is affecting how his back legs work. An operation would be too risky as one of the joints is too close to his spine.
We are all absolutely devastated and this has come as a huge shock 🥺😢
Blue is responding well to the steroids at the moment and is still wanting to and able to go out for short walks, enjoy soft play and is still his usual fun, loving self.

We are monitoring him very closely, but ask if you do see him out and about, not to let him jump up (he does still want to try although he is understanding that he shouldn’t now), and please don’t let your pups/his friends jump on his back.
He is wearing protective socks his back paws to prevent them from scraping on the ground and he has adapted to them well, darling boy ❤️🐶💙

We wanted to share this news with you as we know some of you have known Blue for a very long time….you love him and I can assure you, he loves you all too! He has such a huge fan club! 😊

I have passed on many of your thoughts and kind words to Blue’s owners and they would like to thank you all for the lovely messages of support and love.

We don’t know how long we have left with our best friend, but we are ensuring that he still sees his best pup pals and has the best life that we can give him.

I will of course keep you updated with how our little man is doing.

He absolutely loves going to visit them and was so happy when I said “Shall we go and see Slyvie and Richard?”
His eyes widened, his ears alert, he came straight to me to put his socks on and off we went! A special afternoon for a very special pup! ❤️🐶❤️

🌳☀️🐶💙😍 A beautiful day with my beautiful best friend Blue! A little walk and play, followed by an exciting trip to The Range! He just loved saying hello to anyone he saw, and they loved him too! ❤️ He picked out his favourite treats and then chose a new ball ⚽️🥰 Then we enjoyed a bit of lunch together and he tried out his new ball! 😃⚽️ Love you boy! 😘😘
