Anyone who knows me will know I'm never happier than when I'm making a horse look beautiful. My role now is mainly filling hay nets, water buckets and a hell of a lot of muck barrows.
So when one of my clients asked me to brush her horse ready for an outing tomorrow, I was over the moon.
Headed up an hour early in my own time and enjoyed giving Finn a pamper session! Obviously not a full on bath in winter but a trim and polish and he looked fabulous.
Miss Willow also had a trim but hers was medical rather than aesthetically pleasing !

Wow that was a busy day... in fact a busy week!
14 stables mucked out today.
60 Stables plus my own = 65 for the week!!
Now time to walk the dogs followed by a 50 minute training run! Defo earned my tea tonight

Feed fairy duties today. Shop restocked with lots of choice to suit everyone
However with a weekly feed order going in every Tuesday with delivery on Thursday, if it's not in the shop ask Horse-mania Brierley to order it for you. All feed orders to be paid for when ordering with a lovely discount for payment by bank transfer 😊

Express Pamper for Finn!
Finn lives out full time but that doesn't mean he misses out on attention.
A little pamper session is a great way to check horses out that don't get dealt with day to day.
Gives you a chance to check for scrapes and scabs, bumps and bruises and also rug rubs.
Think he enjoyed himself 🥰

The ladies on this yard have access to acres and acres every day but have chosen to hang around the stables while the ground has been covered in snow. And I don't blame them! Rotten weather.
But it has made my work much harder, they're big ladies and like to be close. Gates have to be closed which makes bringing hay nets harder etc... so yesterday I was please to see they'd gone up the fields... Bingo... time to tidy. Just got the place looking fab and about to video... when they spotted the reloaded hay nets and came back in! Never mind, it was nice to have a chat with them 🐴😊

I always use Equine Bio Genie as part of my daily routine

🦠With a number of reported cases of Strangles in the area I just wanted to share with you all my biosecurity policy🦠

Your horse's safety is a priority of mine. I want to keep training and to do this I need to ensure the safety of all of your horses, including my own 🐴

⚠️ I will always ask that I am made aware of any horse suffering from an infectious disease (suspected or confirmed) so that I can reschedule your appointment. This includes not only the horse I am training, but others on the same yard too

⚠️ This goes without saying, but if any horse on the yard has Strangles, shows symptoms, or is awaiting test results I will not attend under any circumstances

✋️ I only ever touch the horse I am training

🧴 I use Equine Bio Genie between clients for my clothes, coat and boots - this disinfectant is proven to eradicate Equine specific diseases including Strangles, EHV and ringworm

🧤 I wear a clean pair of gloves for each client,
these are disinfected and washed after each use

🫧 I sanitise any equipment I use between clients

💗 This is an uncertain and daunting time for us all. If you would rather me not attend at this time, I will completely understand and we can postpone to a later date 🗓

🐴🐴🐴POLITE NOTICE to current clients 🐴🐴🐴
This week's invoices have been sent out. Updated Client Agreement Forms should've also been attached but the BGA website seems to be down and it's not giving me access to them. However I will keep checking and send as soon as possible.
Please could you all read, sign and return them to me.
Please take time to read my cancellations policy too.
Also I try to keep family time and work time separate and remember I also work some night shifts, so if you message me after 6pm, I may not answer till the following business day. This could affect you if it's regarding cancellations, so please bare this in mind.

Christmas and New Year doing what I love doing.
Looked after all my regular clients horses as usual... just got paid more for the pleasure... always a bonus 😂
Mixed it up a little so I wasn't doing every client everyday and enjoyed some time off.
Spent most of it eating but caught up with fiends and lots of family time and my own pets 🥰
Plenty booked in for the start of 2025 and I've already had some summer holiday cover enquiries already 🎉
