Cats must be implanted with a microchip before they reach the age of 20 weeks, and their contact details must be stored and kept up to date in a DEFRA-compliant database.

Cats must be microchipped by 10 June 2024, and if found un-microchipped, the cat's keeper will have 21 days to have one implanted, or they could face a fine of up to £500.

Trixie is my own dog, she is a Jack Russell crossed with a Shih Tzu and comes along with me on a lot of my walks (with owners permission) and is a perfect edition as she is fun and friendly and offers support for nervous dogs. - I am based in Carleton, Pontefract and cover Carleton and the surrounding area. - Retired after 27 years of Police service and as a lifelong owner of many pets, I have plenty of experience! - I am fully insured with Pet Plan Sanctuary and have a current CRB/DBS Police check.
