Young boris in for his further Education. Being broke for a young child to drive .. he’s proving to be a diamond

Traffic and standing at junctions is the key to any driving horse/pony .. they must be Able to stand comfortably with traffic and be patient .. boris is proving he can do just that after his second time out in the heaviest of traffic 😊

Little Ralph taking it all In his stride first time in the shafts yesterday .. took to it quite well, although a lot more education and work is needed before he’s ready to drive away properly 😊

Smallest customer we’ve had for a while, little Ralph came in for his driven education last week and so far is proving he could be just right for the job 👍🏼

Another one broken and going well only second time In, she’s taken to this job like a duck to water.

We break a range From ponies to 17.2hh, a friendly service at competitive prices and a proper job done... here are just some of the horses and ponies broken to drive over the past year .. all doing exceptionally well in there driving careers.

I get asked the frequent question by People, how long it takes to break a horse or pony to drive, I say depending on there temperament and riding ability, most horses that are already broken to ride are a bonus and will take to harness fairly easily.

However some will not enjoy having things behind them and will never drive. What people dont understand is some horses will never drive, they’ve got to want to do it, sounds silly I know but a horse won’t drive if he’s not a happy horse.
