What do you do to bring your stress levels down?
Have you taken time for yourself recently?
Are you looking after yourself?

Stress Awareness Month takes place every April. The campaign is designed to raise awareness about both the contributory factors and the solutions, as well as to reduce the stigma that surrounds stress and mental health.

During this month we encourage everyone to break down the barriers by starting the conversation not only during April, but also throughout the year.

The theme is it highlights the transformative impact of consistent, small positive actions on over-all wellbeing.
We want to emphasise how even the smallest steps taken each day towards self-care and stress reduction can aid in significant improvements in mental health over time 💕

🗣️ April is Stress Awareness Month

This year the theme is , to highlight the impact of consistent, small, positive actions on overall wellbeing.

👇 Tell us what small steps you take to keep stress at the starting gate!

Here’s our top 5 tips…

1️⃣ Make sleep a priority, as a lack of sleep increases stress levels and the chance of burnout.
2️⃣ Relax at home with your favourite food, a snuggle blanket and candles
3️⃣ Book time in your schedule to spend a couple of hours each week doing something that makes you happy, take an exercise class, have a coffee with a friend, be home on time for family dinner.
4️⃣ Create your own at-home spa, run a hot bath with nice smelling bubbles, use a face mask and full body moisturiser.
5️⃣ Unwind with a gentle hack.

Need support?

💚 Our Grooms Minds section provides mental health and well-being support for grooms with a full range of tools AND the confidential Grooms Minds Support Line, which is available 24/7 – pick up the phone whenever you need!

Happy 3rd birthday to Valley View Equestrian Ltd! 🎂

Where does the time go. We cannot believe we have been open for three years now. It sure has been a journey. With all the trials and tribulations a small business is faced with on top of the consequences of the wettest February on record 🌧️.

There are a few things businesses like ours should never take for granted.

🐴 How lucky they are to have the support of lovely clients past and present who trust us with the care of their beautiful animals and how lucky it is to build a community where everybody feels valued and cared for.

🐴 A hardworking team of amazing staff who keep the yard running smoothly. Who care for the horses as if they were their own and dedicate nearly their entire lives, rain or shine, to provide the care that they do.

🐴 The help provided by a team of great professionals such as Damory Equine Vets Saracen Horse Feeds British Grooms Association The British Horse Society Equestrian Employers

🐴 Our group of suppliers which continue to deliver quality Hay, Feed and Bedding at competitive prices in a wild economic world. Paddock Pantry - Equestrian Supplies, Tips and Guides Houghton Farming Froghole Bedding Supplies

🐴 Our love of our four-legged companions and friends, and how they always seems to help us get through any difficult times.

In our first three years we have worked hard to develop our facilities and services that we can offer to our clients and are very proud of what we have achieved. Some of which include our fit for purpose feed room and Hotwash and solarium. Valley view started life with twelve stables and 12 acres of grazing. Three years on it has 24 stables and 24 acres of grazing under its care.

The question is what next? 🤩

We cannot thank you enough for sticking with us and continuing our journey into year four and beyond.

It would be great to see some of our clients best pictures over the last three years!

We may, or may not have consumed a wheelbarrow load of mini eggs already! 🤣

Show us the tasty treats that are getting you through the weekend……..

A busy weekend for our liveries -

🙁 A very sad goodbye to one of our lovely liveries of many years due to relocation.

😆 One incredibly upset pony on weight watchers who needed to let everyone know just how neglected she was!

🗺️ Lots of exploring and top marks all round for hi-viz.

🐴 A good afternoon of old fashioned pony swapping.

🎉 Finishing up with welcoming a new staff member to the team for 2024

Let’s hear it for the team 💕 because the weather has been horrid today!

What a day! There has been snow in the north and rain in the south, which did you battle? ⛈️❄️

To all the superheroes working hard through this miserable weather; you are ploughing through the snow, sleet, and ice like real troopers and wading through floods, puddles, and bogs to get your job done! 👏

Let’s not forget the wind, making the horses spooky and the yard messy, even though you swept it five times – and then there’s the game of hide and seek, where you search for items the wind has blown away. 💨

We salute you all. 💪

KEEP GOING, Spring is on the way!

Prevention is better than cure - our horses all receive daily turnout on well managed fields, and ad-lib hay or haylage when stabled 🌟

We carefully manage previous laminitic ponies, those with Cushings, EMS and ones on long term medication.

We keep our liveries on a routine, know each horse as an individual, make adjustments when required and keep a calm relaxed atmosphere leading to a yard of happy horses and owners 💕
