My Buddy Mika came in for his Mika groom this afternoon.. was the bestest boy having his bath and groom .. then ran about like an absolute loonie in my garden playing with my Labrador Burt whilst waiting for his mum to pick him up .. Burt even got a goodbye hug from Mika … Well done Mika on being groomed and what a HAPPY GOOD BOY 🐾🩷💚

Here’s Ozzy popped in for his Ozzy groom .. Oz is a PUGZU (a Pug x Shih Tzu ) .. Oz comes
in for his groom looking half like a Shih-Tzu and half like a Pug and then goes home looking more Pug ish 😎 .. Ozzy does have quite a character, he is so laid back being groomed but also has his stubborn Oz side and if he’s had enough of being groomed he just decides he’s going to walk off and do something else that he wants to do halfway through his groom. You are a funny chap OZZY 🐾

“THE DOG WITH THE SMILIEST FACE COMPETITION RESULTS”

Firstly, apologies in delay in announcing results but with the recent heatwave it’s been a very busy few days with lots of hot doggies coming in wanting grooming.

I have also had to change the judging of the competition.. this is a FUN competition for local Poole people and their dogs, but it came to my attention that certain people were posting their dogs picture on other Facebook sites just to get more ‘likes’

So the judging has been not on ‘likes’ but myself, my son and 2 other dog loving colleagues that looked at all your lovely dogs and chose the dogs smiles that made us also smile the most.

🐾💚🐾💛 BRAMWELL

My Superhero buddy BRAMWELL popped in for his groom … when Branwell’s mum brings him in he likes to pretend coming to be groomed is the worst thing to ever happen to him in his life and he drags his paws not wanting to come in … then as soon as Mum has gone this is what Bramwell actually does:-

Firstly Bramwell likes to roll about on the dog beds with the teddies for a bit of mad Bramwell rolling about stuff.. he then immediately jumps into my dog bath without me even asking him and he sits in the bath looking at me waiting for me to get his bath ready!! … after his bath he then jumps out of his bath all excited waiting for towel rubby downs which he loves ….after rubby downs he then immediately jumps up onto my dog grooming table without me even asking him and just sits looking at me waiting for me to groom him!! ….Groom finished and Bramwell has been the best boy and does a bit more fun playing doing his Bramwell messing about stuff until mum picks him up … Lots of dogs suffer from mum and dad separation anxiety and hate to be left … but honestly, as soon as mum and dad have gone and they remember it’s actually quite fun they are absolutely OK within minutes of you going .. and then they get all excited again when I tell them you are on your way back to pick them up. Well done BRAMWELL on being such a GOOD BOY 😃🐾😃

🐾💙🐾💙 These Boys … Here’s my Labrador Burt and the absolutely gorgeous Gus that came in for his groom today ... being a dog groomer is not about strapping a dog to a table for its groom, or muzzling a dog, or putting a dog in a cage, or grooming a dog as quick as possible to timescales .. I don’t believe in, or do any of that … It’s about spending time with your dog, getting to know your dog and getting them to trust you and enjoy coming in… When Gus comes in for his groom Gus likes to sit on my lap to be groomed so that’s what me and Gus do, he sits half on my lap and half on my grooming table .. Gus and I call it sat on my lap Gus grooming .. as well as lots of playing and running about like a lunatic in the garden with my dog Burt whilst waiting for mummy to pick him up .. Well done Gus on being such a good boy 😃

My Labrador BURT had his buddy MAX come over for a play day and sleepover … Max is a dog that I groom on a regular basis so this was my 1st ‘Tempting the Waters’ on offering Dog Boarding to my clients when they go on their holidays.. as well as my usual Dog Grooming …. 🩵🐾😃
