Vets2You is a dedicated mobile unit run from a van and covers an approximate 15 mile radius of our surgeries in Bournemouth and Poole. It is staffed at all times by a qualified nurse and an experienced, caring veterinary surgeon. The van is fully equipped and combines all the equipment you'd expect to find in a traditional vets surgery with that of an ambulance including transport cages, scanners,

diagnostic scopes, weighing scales, blood pressure monitors and critical care facilities. The services offered include general consultations, minor treatment and preventative healthcare like flea and worm treatment, microchipping and vaccinations.

Introducing the lovely Mr Kipling! 🐶 We’ve been visiting him at home since he was a puppy, and I think it’s fair to say that he enjoys our visits as much as we do!

We now go to see Mr Kipling once a month, to monitor his heart condition and give his arthritis injection, so he’s well used to the routine of hopping onto our scales as part of his check over, in exchange for a tasty treat!

In fact, it’s now become quite tricky to convince him to remove himself from the scales for the rest of his heath check - he places himself perfectly on the scales as soon as we bring them in, and insists on staying there until he is fully satisfied we’ve all noticed his exemplary behaviour (and repaid him with Schmackos, obviously 😂)

As part of the Natterjacks Family, all of our home visit patients also have two brilliantly equipped practices available to them for things which can't be done at home, such as anaesthesia and surgery.

The Bournemouth practice is in the Old Bank Building on Christchurch Road, and has all the necessary surgical equipment, in addition to a purpose-built endoscopy suite!

The Poole practice, on Waterloo Road, has a lovely large waiting room, with separate areas for cats and dogs, and a CT scanner to help investigate some of the trickier problems we encounter!

If transport to the practices is an issue, we will do our best to help, or can recommend some lovely local pet taxi services to take the stress out of travel for your pets. 🐰🐱🐶

Here is an example of how stress free at home blood pressure monitoring can be. Arthur is an older boy with kidney issues, so we like to keep an eye on his blood pressure. As you can see, he is a model patient, and only requires some head scratches whilst we check it to make sure all is OK! We see a lot of older patients, and always try to ensure we do the best we can for them whilst keeping things as calm as possible. We can manage a number of conditions entirely at home with blood tests, and monitoring such as blood pressure checks, without the need for stressful trips to the vet.

Did you know that we offer a wide range of different services on our home visits, including:
* Vaccinations
* Health checks
* Assessment of older animals to keep them comfortable in their later years
* Monitoring of long term health conditions and dispensing medications
* Blood pressure checks
* Blood sampling
* Nail trims
* Microchipping
* Calm and compassionate pet euthanasia

We love seeing our patients at home, where they are at their most comfortable, and always allow plenty of time for discussion, offering longer appointments than are often available within the veterinary practice!

Please get in touch if you'd like to book in a visit or hear about our services in more detail 🐱🐶🐰

Its been a little while since our last Facebook post, so thought it might be about time for an update for you all!

Lots of you will have seen our lovely new van, which arrived last year, fully equipped with everything we need for our home visits. Despite the exceptionally un-Summery weather today, we thought a photo tour might be in order:
* Our van is equipped to carry both a nurse and vet to all of our home visits
* We carry a supply of all commonly used medications
* Our built in fridge is perfect for transporting vaccinations and medications, ensuring everything is stored at exactly the right temperature
* We have a built in air conditioning unit in the back of the van, to keep things cool on sunny days
* Our built in hand washing station and disinfection equipment means that we can minimise the risk of transmission of illness from poorly pets
* The kennel in the back of the van can accommodate all creatures, from the smallest of cats to large dogs, complete with a sliding floor to help us load dogs up to 50kg into the van more easily
* We have dedicated scales for cats, dogs and smaller animals, to help us make sure we're dosing all of our medications appropriately for all species
* Our ever-present Feliway and Pet Remedy spray bottles are essential for making our home visits as calm and stress-free as possible

**Exciting news alert ** In a baby news update, Benjamin arrived a little later than intended on 9th November, weighing 7lb 4oz. Louise and Ben are both doing well and recovering at home, if a little sleep deprived!

Today we say au revoir and Good luck to Louise as she starts her maternity leave! She will be back in the new year, and we will keep you all updated with any baby developments as they happen . In the meantime, you may see a few of our lovely vets from the natterjacks clinics stepping in to help whilst Louise has some time with the new arrival. 🍼👶💕

Our Story

Vets2You was founded with the aim of providing a truly unique veterinary home visit experience. We offer relaxed and unhurried consultations at your convenience, in the comfort of your own home. We are equipped to carry out the majority of consultation procedures on site, and can dispense most medications to you straight away.

Anna has now passed on the service to her good friend Andy at Natterjacks vets. We are now based in the Poole branch of Natterjacks at Darbys Corner. This has a number of advantages in that we have the back up of a large team of very experienced vets, with cutting edge, competitively priced services. We have a team of two veterinary surgeons - Sarah Fisher and Louise Melling, who are ably assisted by qualified nurses Lucy Hunt and Natalie Oliver.

For more information on the services we provide, please check out our services page, or our website. And as always, feel free to get in touch on 07531208720 or via [email protected]. Please be aware that we do not answer the phone if we are in a consultation - so leave a message or send us a text and we will reply as soon as possible. We aim to see all our patients at a time to suit them, but on rare occasions we cannot cater to every request (we cannot split ourselves in two!) On these times, you are welcome to attend the Natterjacks vet clinics in Poole or Boscombe. These clinics are also open until 6.30pm during the week, and 9am-4pm on Saturdays.
