Vets2You is a dedicated mobile unit run from a van and covers an approximate 15 mile radius of our surgeries in Bournemouth and Poole. It is staffed at all times by a qualified nurse and an experienced, caring veterinary surgeon. The van is fully equipped and combines all the equipment you'd expect to find in a traditional vets surgery with that of an ambulance including transport cages, scanners,

diagnostic scopes, weighing scales, blood pressure monitors and critical care facilities. The services offered include general consultations, minor treatment and preventative healthcare like flea and worm treatment, microchipping and vaccinations.

As firework night draws closer, don’t forget that some of our feline friends might not be too keen on everything it entails!

The Cats Protection League have got some fab advice for making sure your cat is as calm and safe as possible:

Fireworks season can be an incredibly frightening time for many cats: the noise and flashes of fireworks can be traumatic. Keep your cat calm and safe during...

Meet the Team 👋

Last but not least, is Sarah 🤩

Sarah graduated from the Royal Veterinary college in 2010 and joined the Vets2You team in 2017.

She has a post-graduate certificate and special interest in our more unusual pet species, including reptiles, birds and small mammals (though she also loves seeing all our regular cat and dog patients too!) 🐓🦎🐹

In recent years Sarah has also spent time working with native British wildlife and in a zoo! 🦓 🦍

Sarah enjoys all aspects of visiting patients at home as part of the Vets2You team, and is particularly passionate keeping our older patients comfortable in their golden years 💛

Meet the Team 👋

Say hello to Rachel 🤩

Rachel is the newest addition to our home visiting team, having started working in the Natterjacks practice in 2018 and earning her ‘Registered Veterinary Nurse’ qualification in 2023. She joined us as an official member of the team earlier this year, having previously helped us out with holiday and maternity cover ☺️

Like Emma, Rachel also splits her time between working in the practice, and travelling around in our van - so you know your animals will be in familiar hands if they’re in need of surgery or a stay in hospital!

When shes not at work her life consists of running around after her toddler (who has an impressive turn of speed!) and walking her dog Leo. 🐶

Rachel loves doing home visits for our wonderful clients and their adorable pets, and is a real asset to our team 🥰

Meet the Team 👋

Next up is Bellin 🤩

Raised in Dorset, Bellin graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 with a degree in Veterinary Science. She cut her teeth in various small animal practices before joining the Natterjacks team in 2021.

She loves both medicine and surgery, meaning that she’s perfectly suited to her current combination of being out on the road with us, and ample time working in the practice to get her surgical fix!

She is married to her teenage sweetheart and has three children, three dogs, four chickens, six ducks and a sheep at home. When she’s not looking after her family and pets, she enjoys baking, gardening (look out for her name and beautiful prize-winning dahlias in the floral tent at the Dorset County Show! 🌼) , sewing and running. 🏃‍♀️

Meet the Team 👋

Say hello to Emma 🤩

Emma spent two years at a referral hospital in Hampshire before joining the Natterjacks practice in 2017, going on to complete her veterinary nursing training in 2020. She now splits her time between the practice and travelling around with Vets2You - meaning that your pets will have a familiar face to greet them if they do need to go into the clinic.

She also has a passion for feline care, having spent five years working at Cats Protection. Her experience of working with a cats of a variety of temperaments mean that we consider Emma to be very own cat whisperer! 🤫 🐈‍⬛

When she’s not working, she loves trampolining, pub quizzes, board games, seeing friends and playing the guitar. 🎸

Meet the Team 👋

Next up is Louise 🤩

After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010, Louise spent several years at a small animal practice in the New Forest before joining us in 2017. 🌲

She has a particular passion for nutrition and the holistic care of older pets, and has further qualifications in rehabilitation and acupuncture - perfectly suited to helping our patients in the comfort of their home environment. 😽

Those of you who have met Louise will already know that she is incredibly dedicated to her patients, and we’re very lucky to have her as part of our team ☺️

She lives in Bournemouth with her husband and son, and enjoys playing the flute in a concert band, cooking and visiting the beach. 🏖️

Meet the Team 👋

The first in our line up is Lucy 🤩

Lucy qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2005, and worked in busy practices and a specialist referral centre before joining Vets2You in 2015. Having worked with us for such a long time, Lucy is the oracle for anything home visit related! 🔮

Lucy has extra qualifications in Emergency and Critical care, and having been in the veterinary industry for over 20 years, there isn’t much she hasn’t seen! 🫠

She lives in the New Forest with her family and their dog, Peggy, and enjoys baking various treats, which makes her very popular with the rest of the team (we think she should definitely start taking commissions for her legendary drip cakes! 😋) 🧁

These striking green eyes and imperious expression belong to Chester 👁️😻

Chester is a rescue cat who finds travelling very stressful, but has graciously decided to accept us into his home for vaccinations and health checks since his arrival there!

We quickly worked out that Chester is open to a little bribery - Lik-e-Lix, gentle handling and a towel sprayed with our trusty Pet Remedy works brilliantly so we can check him over with as little stress as possible 🐈‍⬛

It's time to start preparing for firework night again... 🎆🎇

One of the best things you can do is build your dogs a den to help them feel safe. This is ideally done a few weeks before the big night, so it's time to get building! 🐶

For those who really struggle in spite of having their own quiet space and some gentle reassurance, anxiety reducing medications can be one way to enhance the desensitisation process, in combination with support from a qualified behaviourist - so please do get in touch with us if your pup is still very worried!

You can find a few helpful tips in the link below...https://blog.adaptil.com/uk/how-to-build-a-den?fbclid=IwAR0PCzgiGjWZeku-KSE7jX_iGD7wj7M2wILbDQzOazOURPdghDnzyQs5RDQ #

Follow our guide to build the best den for your dog this fireworks. Make it snug and secure for your dog by adding blankets or bedding to help your dog feel calm.

Our Story

Vets2You was founded with the aim of providing a truly unique veterinary home visit experience. We offer relaxed and unhurried consultations at your convenience, in the comfort of your own home. We are equipped to carry out the majority of consultation procedures on site, and can dispense most medications to you straight away.

Anna has now passed on the service to her good friend Andy at Natterjacks vets. We are now based in the Poole branch of Natterjacks at Darbys Corner. This has a number of advantages in that we have the back up of a large team of very experienced vets, with cutting edge, competitively priced services. We have a team of two veterinary surgeons - Sarah Fisher and Louise Melling, who are ably assisted by qualified nurses Lucy Hunt and Natalie Oliver.

For more information on the services we provide, please check out our services page, or our website. And as always, feel free to get in touch on 07531208720 or via [email protected]. Please be aware that we do not answer the phone if we are in a consultation - so leave a message or send us a text and we will reply as soon as possible. We aim to see all our patients at a time to suit them, but on rare occasions we cannot cater to every request (we cannot split ourselves in two!) On these times, you are welcome to attend the Natterjacks vet clinics in Poole or Boscombe. These clinics are also open until 6.30pm during the week, and 9am-4pm on Saturdays.
