Who remembers Meeko!? Meeko was with us 10 days ago for a big op to remove plastic in his intestines! After being a very poorly boy, Dr P and the team have enjoyed seeing Meeko, happy, healthy and thriving and even gaining weight at his 10 day post op check!! Keep going Meeko!! This means we demonstrate a higher standard of cat care by understanding feline needs and making vet visits as stress-free as possible. On May 17th, our incredible HR Business Partner, Sue Lodge will be facing her fear of heights by abseiling down the Millers Dale Viaduct to raise funds for our Charity of the Year, Support Dogs. Sue is terrified of heights, so this is truly a courageous challenge and a huge step outside her comfort zone – making it even more deserving of your support.

Here at The Pet Vet, we like to rave about all of our staff and today, we'd like to say a huge thank you to Emily (left) Emily will continuously go above and beyond for all of our patients and their parents. She's the first person to answer your distress calls and usually the first friendly face when you walk into the practice in the mornings. Her colleagues say she always has a smile on her face and has often been referred to as the "mum" of the practice due to her kind and caring nature ❤️ keep up the good work Emily ❤️

Most of you already know her, it's the one, it's the only... AVA! She is also embarking on an educational journey as she has entered into her second year of veterinary nursing, things really start to heat up now, she's nearly half way through her course and yet she is not only doing well on it, she's smashing it! This year we are focusing on further education, because of that each one of our lovely nurses will be embarking on an educational journey of their own, here we have the incredible Tia who is about to start an emergency and critical care course. Tia has always had a keen interest in emergency care work and we wish her all the best in her course! Introducing our latest patient of the month... Meeko! Meeko was one hell of a cheeky boy and had both his parents so worried when he stopped eating a few days ago, after some overnight care and one big old surgery, we managed to find some plastic in his intestines! One of our marvelous vet surgeon's, Dr P went straight to X rays and surgery. Needless to say that Meeko has successfully worried his parents, nurses and vets all for the sake of a small "toy". He is certainly on the mend and we will keep you updated 🌟

Frankie will now have direct involvement with all charity events going forward!
