We are looking for an Insectnician to join us at Advanced Husbandry Ltd.
The position is part time 5 days a week, 8 am till 12pm, with a good possibility of full time employment for the right candidate. Jobs roles would include preparing live cultures for varies species, packing orders and general retail / factory duties. You must love insects, not fear creepy crawlies. All necessary training will be provided, all we ask for is a keen interest.
Pay rates will depend on experience and abilities. This can be negotiated during interview.

Don't for got the 2 bank holidays 7th and 10th April. Tracked 24 is the best option for delivery; orders placed on Thursday can be sent out of possible delivery on Saturday and Sunday.

Royal Mail strikes have been suspended until Saturday 12th. No need to panic, we also have APC next day delivery set up working alongside our Royal Mail orders.

The CWU have 19 strike days planned for the Royal Mail during November. This will cause issues for both business owners and customer, especially those replying on Live Food deliveries for their pets. Although we have had no official confirmation about this, we have to assume that it is happening and adapt.

We have now opened an account with APC Overnight couriers to ensure that we are still able to provide the great, fast and reliable service our customers depend on. Ensure that your pets still get their feed.

There will be a few changes to how we will have to operate. The first of which is our posting out days, which will be Monday to Thursday (for delivery Tue to Fri) as the cost of overnight delivery on a Saturday is just too expensive. If we can use the Royal Mail between strikes, we will try for weekend deliveries.

Other changes will be posted here once we have worked out the best way.

Royal Mail Strike Days:
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take further national strike action on the following dates:
Friday 30 September 2022 and Saturday 1 October 2022
Thursday 13 October 2022
Thursday 20 October 2022
Tuesday 25 October 2022
Monday 28 November 2022
Further dates have also been announced by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of our operation on the following:
Processing, Distribution, International, Collections, Admin: 3, 9, 15, 24 November and 1 December 2022
Delivery: 4, 10, 16, 25 November and 2 December 2022
Network: 2, 8, 14, 23, 30 November 2022
We’re sorry this strike action is likely to cause you some disruption. We will be working to get our services back to normal as quickly as possible. Royal Mail has well-developed contingency plans, but we cannot fully replace the daily efforts of our frontline workforce. We’ll be doing what we can to keep services running, but you should expect significant disruption on dates when strike action is taking place.
On days when strike action is taking place:
We will deliver as many Special Delivery and Tracked24 parcels as possible
We will prioritise the delivery of COVID test kits and medical prescriptions wherever possible
We will not be delivering letters (with the exception of Special Delivery)

Please try and plan your live food orders in advance. I have pinned the Royal Mail Strike information to remain at the top of our page. It isn't clear on what and when parcels will be delivered, but during this time all orders will be sent Tracked 24. If you place an order, we will assume that you need it sent out, we will not have time to call each customer for confirmation. We are arranging a Parcel Force account; I just hope they are not striking too.
