🥳🤩🥳Congratulations to Hunter, Jaskier, and Nelson for passing Bronze. I don't usually put 3 dogs together when they pass a level however they have all had to work very hard to pass Bronze and are now all working towards Silver. Having 3 gorgeous teenage males in the class, with hormones transitioning from puppy to adult has meant that their owners have had to work very hard at keeping their dogs focus. All your dogs are truly amazing, intelligent, and above all the biggest softies you could hope to meet. Keep up the good work and we can't wait for you all to pass Silver🥳🤩🥳

Start of a new course and an early one for the 8.45 am Rally class. Today we went back to basics level 1. Sit down sit, is a really important exercise, 1 cue (can be visual and verbal but must be carried out at the same time). Although basic the dog and handler must be aware of everything thing they do. Not as easy as you think. We are visiting a higher level next week and perfecting this will help with the class lesson. Keep practicing your pivot, remember left and right, but progress this very slowly for a solid foundation.

🥳🤩Congratulations to Mery and Kloy (the treat bag raider) for passing Silver. It's so much fun with these 2. They were stuck on retrieve but Kloy nailed it and passed Silver on Saturday 13th July. Kloy did manage to behead her favourite Foxy toy along the way but apparently, Mery has a stock of them, so we have some for the 2 Gold retrieves. Well done and good luck in Gold. 🥳🤩

Nala is such a lovely girl, both Nala and handler Ellie are a pleasure to see each week in their class at 11.45 am. Well done!!🥳🤩

🌧️🐾 The rain and wind didn’t stop us at Fort Pubrook’s Family Funday 2024! It was an amazing day, and it was so lovely to be back at the fort and see everyone I used to work with.

This was show number 5 for me, and I couldn’t have done it without Lauren helping me for the day. Massive shout-out to her! 🙌

📣🏆🥳🐾🥂🐾🏆Congratulations to Thor and Abbie for passing Gold. We are very proud of Abbie and little Thor. Abbie thank you for working so hard with Thor, you have done what many would not have done as you persevered and continued to work with him even though he was very mischievous and very excitable in his earlier classes. I see so many people give up because they think they will never be able to have their dog listen and work with them and then miss out on having a dog that is as well-behaved as Thor. Thor is still a lively little chap but you would not want him any different. We hope you are looking forward to joining our Rally class, where the fun really begins. 📣🏆🥳🐾🥂🐾🏆

🥳🐾🏆🤩 Congratulations to our Merlin and his humans for passing Gold. Merlin is a little chap but has a very big personality which has kept us amused throughout his time with us. As you can see by his smile he is very pleased with himself, and so he should be as he has trained his humans well. The next challenge is Rally obedience, and we hope they accept the challenge as we love to keep seeing our dogs and humans busy on a Saturday. 🥳🐾🏆🤩

☀️☀️We all, hopefully, know that our dogs should not be allowed to be left or put in situations where they can overheat. But what do you do if you think they may be suffering from heat stroke? ☀️☀️
🐕🐕Rules to follow given by my dog's vets🐕🐕
📞⛱1. Call the vet and remove your dog from the source of the heat into a cool or shady area. If possible do these both at the same time, if you are alone use speaker phone.
💧2. Follow the vet's advice and soak towels with water at tap temperature or tepid. Remember to change towels frequently.
💧3. Apply towels to the whole dog but pay particular attention to the stomach and in between their legs.
🚗4. If advised by your vet take them straight to them ensuring that the temperature remains cool in the vehicle.



🐾🐾 Not all dogs are the same but they can all overheat🐾🐾

🐾Dogs keep cool via their paws, panting, and their ears🐾🐾
🩵 If they are unable to keep cool by these methods they will go into shock and in severe cases, they will die. 🩵

🩵🩷 Simple rules to follow to keep your dog safe. 🩷 🩵

🩷 If you can't keep your upside-down hand (not palm) on the ground for less than 5 seconds. Don't walk your dog. Concrete, pebbles, and tarmac all retain heat even when the air temperature has dropped, so always check.
🩵 When you leave your dog at home make sure the curtains are closed and they are unable to access places for example conservatories.
🩷 Do not leave dogs in cars for even a short amount of time, it may take you longer than you think to come back.
🩵 Leave a fan on at home, or air conditioning, but be mindful of sudden temperature changes.
🩷 Make sure they have access to water at all times.

You have all worked so hard to achieve your Merits and Distinctions on our latest trial and have now passed out of the Gold level. Gold Level is not easy but you were all amazing and carried out the searches with lots of enthusiasm, determination and success! We are now messing it all up and having some fun mixing the searches up Active with chairs and bags last week. It is clear the search the dogs love the most is the Active send-out search and retrieve. 🐾⭐️🏆🥂🏆⭐️🐾

🐾🥳🏆🥳🐾Congratulations to our recent AMCBT UK Sniffer Dog Bronze trial handlers and their brilliant UK Sniffer dogs. 4 searches (Vehicle, Novel, Bags, and Chairs) 8 hides to find, and 8 minutes to find them all!! You were all amazing and I can't wait for the Silver 3 & 4 levels where we introduce new scents and a send-out and retrieve search. Keep sniffing and we will see you soon. 🐾🥳🏆🥳🐾

🥳🤩😍🐾🏆A very big congratulations to Duke and Maggie for passing Gold. Duke started in Puppies in November 2022 and has worked very hard with Maggie to achieve his Gold award, as you can see he is so tired he fell asleep on his Gold gift shaky foxy, of course after having a quick smoosh.
We had some fun on the way, Duke liked to play catch me if you can, especially in the retrieve part of his Silver and Gold, however, his sit, wait, send out, and retrieve to hand was perfected on the 11th of May earning him his Gold dog title!!! Well done to both of you. 🥳🤩😍🐾🏆

🥳🤩😍🐾Congratulations to Wanda and Chelsea for passing Silver this Saturday. This is a much-deserved Silver pass, it has not been an easy road for Chelsea or Wanda, and others may have given up as Wanda is very unsettled and nervous around other dogs, but not Chelsea, you have been brilliant. Luckily we have been able over the cooler months to use the outside field to give her the space she needs to be able to carry out her Silver tasks in the hall. Wanda struggled with her stays and this was the last tick they needed, however, whilst carrying out a scent exercise we found Wanda's motivation to stay in position. Her reward for her stay was to be released to find her beloved scent cloth. 🥳🤩😍🐾

🥳🤩🥰🐾Congratulations to Ollie and his amazing humans for passing bronze. Asking a Terrier to stay still for 1 minute is no mean feat, it takes patience, it takes practice, and practice everywhere; we all crossed our paws and fingers for the last stay tick, and were rewarded with a very solid stay, well done Ollie!!! 🥳🤩😍🐾Congratulations to all our puppies and their humans for graduating from their puppy foundation course on Saturday. You were all amazing and have learned so much in a short space of time. I have to say you all have some very gorgeous puppies, I would hate to be a judge picking the most handsome/beautiful one among them, they would all go home with 1st Prize. We look forward to seeing you in Bronze, continuing your journey from puppyhood to adulthood. We won't mention the teenage stage, apart from this is the most important stage to keep up your training.!!🥳🤩😍🐾

🥰🥰🐾🐾So this Saturday (25th May) is the last week of the current course as we have 2 weeks off for UK Sniffer Dog Bronze and Gold Trials (good Luck everyone).

🥰🥰🐾🐾Your puppy/dogs will have 2 weeks to meditate and practice all that they have learned over their foundation course ready for their first Bronze course.

🥰🥰🐾🐾For Gold, Silver, and Bronze work on those exercises, you need to complete your level but don't overdo it, have fun with your dog, relax, and enjoy the break.

🥰🥰🐾🐾Gold Plus Rally, don't forget when we come back on the 15th of June your new class time will be 12.30 pm. We would like to wish Carly-Anne & Elsa, Fiona, & River good luck in their level 1 & 2 Kennel Club Rally competition at Cheltenham this weekend, you will smash it!!!

🤩🥳 Congratulations to Sarah and 'Crazy' Daisy for passing Bronze. Daisy is a very lovely lively girl and has so much energy and love to give everyone. Daisy is taking a break now as her human Sarah is very busy over the coming months but I am assured there will be lots of training perfecting Daisy's skills ready for Silver when they return. Congratulations to gorgeous Rosie for passing silver last week 🥈🎉🎉. Rosie and her owner Sheila have been an absolute joy since they attended their very first puppy class. The loving bond that these two share is unmistakable and this has made some things easy for them but also brought them challenges that Shelia has continually faced and tried her best to overcome and has finally achieved Silver! Massive congratulations to you both 🎉🎉
