Are you passionate about dogs and looking for a fun, rewarding job? The Pukka Pooch, Portsmouth’s No. 1 pet services, is looking for a Daycare Assistant to join our team!

📍 Position Details:
🐾 Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 6:00 PM
🐾 Flexibility required – must be prepared for extra shifts at short notice and to cover holidays.

What We’re Looking For:

🐶 A dog lover with a good understanding of canine behaviour.
🐶 Hard-working, reliable, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
🐶 Confident supervising groups of dogs and ensuring their safety.
🐶 Willing to clean, play, and engage in enrichment activities.
🐶 Experience with dogs is a plus, but full training will be provided!
🐶 An animal management qualification is preferred but not required.

To my wonderful clients.

I’m now fully booked for 2025 for home boarding. I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for entrusting me with all of your beloved pooches. We really do love having them stay with us, making them part of our family throughout their stay.

Dogs are such a massive part of my life, they are the most loyal creatures on the planet, and the bond I have with so many of your dogs is incredible. They walk into my house and know exactly where the toy box is or where the comfy spots are where the sunlight warms my sofa.

Without you all I couldn’t do what I love the most, and that’s being surrounded by dogs! Because let’s face it, dogs are the best 💕

We’re looking for caring, passionate dog lovers to join our amazing team. The job involves

🐾 Playing with and keeping the dogs entertained by providing exciting, enriching activities.

🐾 Keeping the daycare rooms clean and other general cleaning duties.

🐾 Walking the dogs and taking plenty of fun pictures.

These positions will be Monday - Friday part-time and alternating between morning and afternoon shifts.

For this position we prefer you to have relevant animal care qualifications, but full training will be provided.
