I know this is about vaccine's but as a Emmett therapist for your dog I look at the whole picture (my regular clients will know me 🤣🤣🤣) which starts as soon as they are born.
This will be well worth a watch if your getting a pup soon or thinking about it. Or even if you have older dog this will still be worth watching for your dog now and furture refrence. 🐾🐾
So I will try to break this down and shine a light on it in tonight’s RPM Friday Night Live on Facebook 7pm (London,UK).
Puppy Vaccination guidance from the 2015 World Small Animal Veterinary Association report. As a resource for those considering if and when. The full report is here :https://wsava.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/WSAVA-Vaccination-Guidelines-2015.pdf
“For core vaccines, after a 26 week ‘booster’, another core vaccine would not be required for at least another 3 years. This new recommendation for vaccination at 6 months of age as an alternative to vaccination at about 1 year of age is certainly not mutually exclusive to, and does not preclude, a 1-year or 16-month ‘first annual health check’. Many veterinarians are understandably keen to check the animals under their care at around the time they reach skeletal maturity.”
Remember it does not discuss the leptospirosis question for the UK and predates L4 and we are going to give the holistic view how to minimise risk.
