‼️Important DISCLAIMER & T’s + C’s - please read before contacting us for XC hire - you will be asked to confirm you have read this and agree to all before booking‼️
There are 3 options available for hire.
1. Private Hire: Sole use for £40 per hour (for 2 horses, £5 extra per horse.
2. Public hire: Shared with upto 5 other horses. £15 per horse per hour.
3. Clinic hire: For instructors only, wishing to hold group lessons. £60 per hour.
No booking will be accepted without payment upfront.
No refunds will be given
We are only open on Saturday’s & Sundays
* Rearranging will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances or if weather / ground conditions force us to close.
* Hirers are asked to arrive in good time, and to keep to their allotted time slot. All riders must be accompanied by another responsible person (who may be mounted or unmounted) who must have access to a mobile phone in order to summon assistance in the event of an emergency.
* If a hirer is late, they must not take extra time at the end of their allotted slot, unless given the go ahead by us.
* Hirers must leave the course at the end of their allotted time to allow others to enter the course on time for their slot.
* By reading this agreement, the hirer accepts that they/their trainer or responsible adult (if under 18) has surveyed the course and the ground conditions and understand that this must be undertaken prior to the use of the facilities.
* Correct footwear and clothing to be worn at all times. All riders must wear protective headgear conforming to BSI standards at all times when mounted, including warming up. A body protector conforming to the current BHS standard is highly advised to be worn at all times when the rider is using the cross country course.
* Toilet facilities are no longer provided. The nearest toilet facilities are next door at the petrol station. Anyone caught going to the toilet on site inappropriately, no matter their age, will be asked to leave immediately.
* No persons other than instructors are permitted to walk round the course whist it is in use. People must stay in the seating area provided, unless given express permission by one of us.
*Children must be accompanied at all times.
* Please observe any signage or instructions whilst on the course. Riders using the cross country course must not jump any jump marked with a orange cone, this indicates that the jump must not be used under any circumstances as it is not safe, unfinished or is broken.
* Use of the course must be done so in a controlled manner, respecting the take off and landing areas, and general ground condition. We reserve the right to request anyone stop using the course immediately if we feel they are doing so in an uncontrolled or dangerous manner and in such cases no refunds shall be given.
* For biosecurity measures, at no time must you enter the private stable yard, staff brew room, fenced off walk way strip to the turnout paddocks, or other restricted areas. Please do not make contact with any of the other horses whilst at the premises.
*Nobody is permitted to walk on the course. Unless you are a qualified & insured instructor or photographer
*Nobody is permitted to walk along the fenced strip to our turnout paddocks or touch our horses.
*Anyone caught walking across the course, walking dogs on the course, stepping or climbing on top of jumps will be asked to leave.
* The hirer must ensure that all animals engaged in the hire are in good health and are up to date with vaccinations (for example: flu & tetanus) Spot checks will be carried out
*No horse / pony is to be ridden for more than 2 hours.
*Any horse / pony deemed by Sunnydale to being exercised too excessively, riders will be asked to immediately Start cooling off their animal.
*A Hosepipe is available upon request to water / hose off your animal.
*Any person deemed to be rude/ aggressive / or display any antisocial behaviour will be immediately asked to leave.
*food & drink is allowed by the picnic bench/ seating area. However you must take away any rubbish with you.
* The hirer will leave the facilities in a clean and tidy state. Please park your vehicles considerately and be aware of access and other users of the facilities. Please clear up any droppings, hay or bedding from the car park or, as well as any litter, and take these away with you
* Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere on site.
* If there are any breakages, damage or concerns about the facilities during your period of hire, we must be notified immediately. It is not always possible for us to check the course in it’s entirety before each hire. Please notify us if you find anything broken/ anything you deem unsafe and will will close off that particular section. Any damage or breakages caused to the property or equipment shall be charged to the hirer at the new replacement value plus any carriage & labour costs.
* Sunnydale Stables will not be liable for any damage caused whatsoever to vehicles, animals, trailers, lorries, individuals, etc., whilst the hirer is using their facilities
* Well behaved dogs are permitted. However are NOT allowed on the course. They must be cleaned up after & kept on a lead at all times
* We reserve the right to request that, riders/trainers/owners or any other person using the facilities, leave in circumstances where in the opinion of sunnydale stables, a person is creating a dangerous situation, riding in a dangerous manner and/or where a person is mistreating a horse or acting irresponsibly. Where a person is asked to leave they must immediately return to their mode of transport and remove the horse and themselves from the premises.
* Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence, SunnyDale Stables, does not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to hirers, riders, horses, owners, spectators, property, vehicles and their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence or in any other way whatsoever during their attendance at the premises in connection with the usage of any of the equestrian facilities. Riding, working with horses and handling horses can be dangerous and horses may be unpredictable. Persons using the facilities do so at their own risk and we will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss.
* All persons; riders, instructors or anyone coming onsite must have their own suitable insurance.
