Letβs find this boy a home!!!!!!
THIS IS DIXIE β¨
Dixie is a BEAUTIFUL and WONDERFUL soul who has been at the centre for around 2 years now. She is a grey merle Lurcher, approximately 8 years old.
She came to us from a welfare situation and she happened to be pregnant! Dixie became mum to some beautiful puppies (2 of which are also on the website, Digby & Diego), and when her puppies where able to, they went into foster. Dixie did not find an appropriate foster and so she has been in kennels ever since.
We think itβs about time that Dixie found herself a home. She is well loved by the staff at the centre as well as the volunteers. She is so incredibly affectionate and loves her duvets in her kennel.
As Dixie has been in kennels for a long time now, she has become reactive to some dogs. This has not always been the case and she does have some doggy friends that she will walk with. When sheβs on trips away from the centre, she is actually excited to greet other dogs. However, we are looking for her to be in the only dog in the home so that she can truly settle and her new owner can work out which doggies she is friends with.
Due to her breed sheβs not suited to living with cats or small animals. Dixie is muzzle trained and she will wear a well fitted basket muzzle.
Dixie is looking for a calm yet active household and is best suited for a home without young children.
We hope you will love her as much as we do. She truly is 1 in a million.
Letβs find her a home, after nearly 730 days in kennels.

What some of our fellow followers and supporters dont know is here at the animal centre we have had for many years two of our own furry mascots not by choice but we are animal lovers after all. Meet our two outdoor cats Rainy (blk/wht) and Jenson ( grey) whom the cattery team treat them as a part of the cattery family. Rainy actually is a older girl and came with us from our Divison lane days and Jenson arrived some years later. The pair are inseparable and of course santa paws paid them a visit. HAHAHA Jenson looks very confused but our Rainy is never one to miss a yummy treat. They have there own comfy accommodation just next to the cattery and greet us every morning and then go off to explore the site and surrounding areas β€οΈ π π
Winston is a handsome boy with a heart of gold and is just hoping that 2024 will be the year he goes from a kennel to a home π‘ π π π
