Quick update of rosie π§‘
After the physio came out and gave her a good check over, she has told me to spend more time on the ground getting her to bend and step over poles.
My aim at the moment is to strength up her back muscles and get her to reach down and stretch throughout.
We have been doing plenty of lunging and long reining to try and achieve this. However sometimes it's like lunging a kite π€£ does anyone else experience this with ex racers in winter π€ or is it just mine π€£
I do aim to get back in the saddle at some point this month however we are in absolutely no rush at all as this horse generally owes me nothing.
Another fantastic lesson this week with Jordiee Perry and sassy π₯°
This was their first lesson with me and I'm sure I put them both through there paces.
Sassy has developed a little habbit of swinging her bum towards the inside of the school and travelling sideways, so Jodie has been working very hard on swinging that bottom back round and keeping sassy as straight as she can down the long sides and asking for the bends on the corners.
Well done to the pair of them, and I'm very excited to see this pair progress ππ₯°
No stirup lesson for Tegan and Bryn last week and all I can say is they both smashed it π From not being keen on taking away her stirups, I can now say I think tegan is finally enjoying it. It's amazing to see them both progressing
Words can't describe how proud I am of this young rider!.
She has only been riding for 3 years and last winter decided to buy her first project horse.
She has been having lessons with myself for the last few months and her confidence has grown within this time.
Both Tegan and Bryn have developed together and there hard work is finally paying off. We have spent alot of time getting this pony to travel forward, find his rhythm and balance.
This young rider has worked so hard to get this far and as her trainer I am so Incredibly proud of her achievement and determination. Even with the silly moments she just brings him back and carrys on π perfect example of horsemanship!.
They are both aiming to get out to some Working hunter shows next year, which we are all very excited for them.
Another fantastic Schooling session with rosie before the weekend π just look at those fancy toes ππ.
Physio has been out and help release some of rosies tightness through her shoulders, back and hind quarters, so she's starting to feel so much better.
We are still working on our walk and trot and trying to develop and strengthen her back, with different exercises and pole work. Just need her to slow herself down and reach under her self a little more. π
This is a massive step forward for her, as she is not the easiest horse to ride and can easily stress herself out. Trying to keep her calm and relaxed is super tricky π€£π¦
Well after having a 12 month break and having my beautiful baby boy I'm finally back in the saddle doing what I love best. Definitely have to build my fitness back up as I can honestly say I'm not the same rider I was before having a baby π€£
Schooling session with the absolutely fabulous Murray! What a horse π
Can't wait to ride him again and popping those jumps up higher π
Poor benji is trying so hard to concentrate on his work, but jeez Pearl look at you run for an old girl π±π€© Not looking forward to re backing her at any point π€£π€£
Now this is how you walk your dogs, Full empty safe feild to play in with the canal just over the hedges. No cars. No bikes. No dogs. No people
#Bliss π¦ππΆ
Well after a couple of weeks I've finally got myself back into the saddle today, and omg what a feeling it was. ππ
Percy you absolute legend, still going strong at the young age of 20. Light Schooling in an open feild is what he loves the most π
Time to get cracking again with these horses π¦β€οΈ
