Our own label Grain Free quickly became our most popular dry food and is a firm favourite with us at Superpet 🐶

We can’t keep it quiet any longer! 😬

We have some exciting news to share with you all…

We are expanding!! 🤗

You won’t have to travel very far to find us though. We will be staying in our existing location and the new shop will be in the building once occupied by Eriks.
The shop we are in now will be our new warehouse.

Over the next few weeks you will see a lot of disruption while we move across the yard into the new bigger store! We guarantee that it’ll be worth the upheaval 😅

This couldn’t have been possible without the support of you, our loyal customers. For over 40 years you have supported us from Dave & Sue’s garage, to the freezing cold shop on Catherine Street to the (not much) warmer shop on Ribbleton Place where we have been for the last 16 years.

Work has already started installing the fixtures and fittings in the new shop and we can’t wait to show you how the work is progressing over the next few weeks! 🤩

It’s safe to say that The Boss is happy with the new store 😉

In the run up to Christmas, this not the kind of post we wanted to be sharing.

Last night just before closing, this lady decided to take her chances and take some items without paying for them.

Shoplifting is not a victimless crime. Independent stores such as ourselves feel the impact personally. This is our livelihood, how we pay our bills and feed our families.

We have reported this incident to the police, but please feel free to share this post and get in touch if you know who she is!

Over the last few weeks, we, like many other retailers, have been the victim of shoplifters.

Now we’ve had enough. We are a small family business and we feel the effects of every theft. We work too hard to continue to let it happen.

Today this person decided to leave without paying for the dog lead he shoved into his pocket, so if anyone recognises him, then please let us know!

Feed 15 for 65p with our Parched Peas!

It’s that time of year where we enjoy a long standing Preston tradition 😋

Did you know we sell Parched Peas!?
Well, they’re actually called Maple Peas to give them their correct name.

They're available in 1lb bags for 65p and 20kg sacks if you're having a massive party. We recommend 30g of dry peas per serving so 1lb will serve 15.

Parched Peas Recipe (Black Peas)
Soak 1lb peas over night in water.
Add 2 Tsps Bicarbonate of Soda to the water if you want a softer pea.
Drain the peas, and cover them in salted water in a large saucepan.
Bring the peas to the boil and then simmer for at least two hours or until the peas are tender and slightly mushy.
Serve with salt and vinegar to taste
