Prestwich Carnival Dog Show! ☀️🐶🌈

Always a great day out, especially if the sun is shining.

Join Luke from as he hosts the dog show on Sunday 25th June 2023 in St Mary’s Park, Prestwich. Starting event 10.15am and running throughout the day with winners announced at 3.30pm.

Rosettes, trophies and great prizes are all up for grabs. .tails.prestwich is kindly donating some vouchers, there’s a doggie photoshoot from a local photographer, a doggie treat hamper from me and much more, all from local pet businesses. 🐾😊

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the dog show at St.Mary’s park on Sunday 25th June 2023 from 10am until 4pm. Entries are £3.00 per class and there are various different classes throughout the day.

We are looking for some sponsors to sponsor category’s for the prizes at the end of the day and we are also looking for some judges to help out, if you know anybody that would like to sponsor or be a judge then please message me!!

So far we have .tails.prestwich that have kindly donated some vouchers for some prizes!

We have just took delivery of our wooden dog ID tags, these are a great way to find out if a lost pet as a home. These are some examples that I have made up, on the back of these are their owners number. We have 3 different styles, bone shaped, circle and hexagon they’re all made of white oak wood.

Its getting to that time of year where the brightly coloured, festive looking dog treats appear on the shelves.

We again issue the warning we give every year and beg you to avoid them for the safety of your dogs..........

With Christmas fast approaching and lots of new puppy owners we thought we would share this again, we know most of you know they are bad but often people who don’t own dogs will buy your dog/puppy a present for Christmas and these look fun.... they are NOT!

If you get any bin them DO NOT give them to your dogs or puppy’s

PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe with your dogs!
