Hi I am a neurodivergent (autistic) 19 year young man studying film production at university in central Manchester. I currently live at home and commute to Uni. I have a small social circle, so a new "buddy" with a keen interest in film would be a great addition, someone to help build my confidence and independence. I may come across as shy, socially awkward and I can find socialising hard work and masking (which I do to get by) takes energy / effort, so it would be good to develop a good rapport with someone and it not be an effort. In the past I have had PAs who I have found to be too right wing, so I think I'm more compatible with someone with left leaning values.
I have a range of interests (film being the main one). I also enjoy music and I’m an avid collector of vinyl.

Lucy (not her real Name) is a 17 year old college student who lives at home with her family in BURY.
Lucy enjoys watching TV and movies, musical theatre,, going to the cinema, shopping and meeting friends for coffee.
Lucy is a happy lively young woman with a mature attitude and great sense of humour.
Lucy is looking to build up her independence and would like some PA support for 1 evening per week. This could start initially by supporting Lucy at home with her evening meal and getting ready for bed etc and then once your relationships established going out.
Ideally a driver is preferred as lucy has a wheel chair adapted vehicle
Support times are flexible based on Lucy and the PA’s availability and hours could be rolled over
Lucy has 4 hours a week and an addition 4 in the college holidays.

He enjoys cycling with his group “free wheelers” Going 10 pin bowling, walking in the park, walking his dog and watching the soaps on TV.

Harry (not his real name) is looking for a calm and confident PA who can es**rt him in his taxi to and from his day activities.
The journey will start and finish in HEYWOOD and will be from 8.30-10.30am and 2,30-4.30pm
Support is required initially for 3 days a week Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays increasing to 4 days to include Tuesdays
There will be occasions maybe once or twice a month for the start time to be 7,30am to collect Harry from his short break stay.

I enjoy a range of activities such as swimming, gym sauna and steam room, including working with a personal trainer and enjoy some high impact activities.
I love baking, and being out in nature too. I am looking for a friendly confidant, understanding a reliable Female PA to support me to continue to enjoy my activities.

I have Cerebral palsy Epilepsy and Autism I also need some support at home with my morning care routines, light house work, shopping and meal preperation.
I do use a wheelchair for long distances outdoors and or full days out.
I do like to walk myself short distances wherever possible using the linking of an arm.

Requirements
Must be a Driver with Own car initially, however use of my Mobility car will be available in due course.
Mileage paid.

Previous experience of supporting someone with support needs would be an advantage.

The rota is worked one week on one week off.

Monday - 9am-4pm
Tuesday - 9am-4pm
Wednesday - 9am-4pm or 9am-5pm

The rate of pay is £12.00ph plus holiday pay and option to join the pension scheme if eligible.

You will need an enhanced DBS for this role which will be funded if you don’t have one.

Dylan (not his real name) is a 13 year old cute, funny friendly lad who lives in Whitefield with his family.
Dylan loves running, spinning, bouncing and loves walking in the park and outside. Dylan loves listening to music and watches YouTube all the time. Dylan finds twiddling pieces of paper quite relaxing. Dylan also loves singing and dancing. Dylans favourite past times are going for a drive listen to music in the car having a nap and having a McDonalds. Dylan has a visual impairment and although he doesn’t watch television he is an expert on YouTube. He has an eclectic taste in music
Dylan is looking for a PA who can accompany him to the park or for walks or simply going for a drive. A driver is preferable for this reason. Dylan would also enjoy going to McDonalds
Dylan has 6 hours per available increasing to 12 in the school holidays.
Support is preferred at weekends and the hours to be in one block or split up whichever is the PA's preference

Steve (not his real name) is a 70 year old man who lives with his wife in Radcliffe.
Steve loves walking and football. He is a Manchester United supporter and used to enjoy going to watch the games at Old Trafford.
Steve has a great sense of humour and enjoys going for a walk around Radcliffe maybe stopping for a coffee or a pint. Steve enjoys gardening – more in the summer time and loves his family especially his grandchildren.
Steve lives with Dementia and this is having a significant impact on his memory and cognition. It would be great of Steve could find a like minded PA who shares similar interests to him – more of a companion than carer.
Steve enjoys tinkering with things and there is a group that meets on Thursdays at Philips park which he might like to attend with his PA.
Initially the support would have to start slowly and build up with maybe having a coffee at home before progressing to more community based activities
Support days and time would ideally be on either Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays but could be flexible
6-8 hours pw @ £12.00ph with a view to the hours increasing
