CLIENT UPDATE!
Just to let my clients aware that I can only work with calm pets or that can be safely handled by their owners at the moment. I'm 8 months pregnant so I can't work with any excitable big dogs that can knock me over and I won't be doing dog walks for a while either. 🙂🐾

Animal First Aid Box!

It's a good idea for all dog owners to have one of these to hand. I suggest they should include:

● Blunt ended scissors
● Bandages- soft for comfort
woven to secure
cohesive for protection
● Tweezers
● Self adhesive tape
● Tick remover
● Disposable gloves
● Wound wash
● Foil blanket to treat shock
● Large blanket as a stretcher
● Cotton wool
● Tie bandage to use as a temporary muzzle

These items can help alleviate pain and keep your dog comfortable until you can seek medical help 🐾

Warning to dog owners in the Northeast. There is a Parvo-virus pandemic.
The virus is an awful disease and easily spread.
Keep up to date with vaccines and be careful with young puppies before they have their primary injections.
Even vaccinated dogs can carry or contract the disease. They may suffer mild symptoms such as intestinal discomfort but worst case pass it on to un-vaccinated dogs.
I've nursed many puppies with this disease and it's heartbreaking. Take care of your fur babies! 🐾

Vets have been dealing with a spate of parvo cases in the Darlington area in recent months - now people in Tyneside are being warned to take precautions to keep their pets safe
