Just a quick note- my van broke down yesterday and is currently in the garage. I’m hoping to get it back this evening but I’ve now got two days worth of work to reschedule. A guide for which areas to prioritise brushing on your dog. It says poodle crosses but it’s the same for Lhasas/Shih Tzus etc. I’d definitely include the ears and tail in the RED zone though- they tend to matt first.

Archie is a rescue who had a bad start during lockdown. He’s got a great home now with very patient owners who’ve done an incredible amount of work with him. When I first started grooming him he wouldn’t even stay on the table and went into a complete blind panic with the clippers and scissors anywhere near him (thankfully he is not too bad with the dryer and brushing). At one point I had to shave him under a light sedation as he was getting too matted but was still too difficult to groom. He’s like a different dog now, he still won’t let me use scissors anywhere other than his face, and some grooms I can do more than others, but he’s in a cute fluffy style and is looking more like his “sister” Bella 😊

Baby Skye had her first introduction to grooming. It’s so important for puppies, especially poodle crosses, to get used to being groomed from a young age as it’s going to be a big part of their life.
