Rhea and I went to the local park today, a nice shady area to walk through, with plenty of trees to walk under, and smells for her to investigate. It's so important to give your dogs downtime as well as plenty of training and activities.
Beyond training, I intertwine mindfulness into our outings, fostering emotional well-being. Holistic methods harmonise beautifully with positive training, addressing issues like hyperactivity and obsessive behaviours.
I see quite a few dogs who have been having so much fun that the training they lack most is how to switch off. Incorporating regular stops on your walks to just sit and watch the world go by is SO important and normally much underestimated. Sharing peaceful, calm energy and learning to stop is good for us all!
