Shampoos made for us is tailored to a more acidic acid mantle as our PH balance different to a dogs PH balance, therefore human shampoo can damage your dogs coat, dry out their skin, cause irritation which can encourage scratching to which can lead to wounds forming.
Also dry and damage hair can cause your dog to Matt easier than a healthy coat. Keeping that coat as healthy as possible to reduce the chances of your dogs coat matting easier.
