Happy Diwali!

Diwali is best known as the festival of lights.

Homes and streets tend to be decorated with small oil lamps called 'diyas', with the light supposed to help Lakshmi - goddess of wealth and good fortune - find her way into people's homes.

The festival provides an occasion for families to come together. People visit friends and family, with sweets, gifts and good wishes being exchanged.

Some of the festive dishes enjoyed include puri (fried bread), paneer and gulab jamun - with celebrations for many being rounded off in style by lighting fireworks.

Gift ideas for early birds!

Over the next few weeks we will be doing a series of gift idea posts.

The cast wax melt warmer is designed for stove tops and is £15. We also have some wax melts available on the website to compliment the warmer, keep your eye out for new festive additions over the next few days!

Bonfire night traditions....

Parkin is a heavy cake made with molasses and oatmeal that is traditionally eaten on and around Bonfire Night. It originated in Yorkshire but is commonly made throughout the UK.

We are loving these new recycled wool rugs/blankets that have just come in from .
