Three Greys Riding School is a family run business, which has been established since 1963. ienced riders and has a large number of horses and ponies to suit all abilities. We specialise in teaching beginners to ride and helping to build confidence to those who may have had a break from riding. We offer Private and Group lessons and escorted hacks on the South Downs and activities for Children during the school holidays.

‼️ATTENTION CUSTOMERS‼️

This Sunday 03/11/2024 is the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. This means Clayton Hill has road restrictions in place and a one way system Southbound is in place.

Those travelling from Hassocks or Burgess Hill direction are unaffected, however those travelling from the Brighton area will need to allow additional time for their journey to us.

The road will show as closed when you come off the A23. Access will be given to 3 Greys, however this may not show on the boards or be visible from the road.

Please ensure you stop at the road closed signs and speak to a traffic Marshall or Police to advise them you are riding at 3 Greys and you need access. DO NOT let them turn you away for an alternative route.

Any issues at all please call us and we will provide assistance where we can.

We currently have a vacancy for an Equine Groom or Equine Groom Apprentice to join our fantastic team.

This is a full time role to include 1 working day at the weekend. Duties will include:

⭐️ All aspects of horse care
⭐️ All yard duties
⭐️ Feeding
⭐️ Riding
⭐️ Teaching

We are a busy riding school and livery yard with over 40 horses and ponies to take care of 🐴

Those undertaking an apprenticeship will have the opportunity to learn on the job, to include teaching. We will support you in obtaining a nationally recognised equine qualification 📚🎓

Corks 💚

Anyone that has ever ridden with us in the last 25 years will know… Corky! He came to us as a livery all those years ago and very kindly was permanently loaned to us a few years later by his owner Natalie. We used him for our staff to escort on and he was such a pro he could have taken a ride out all by himself! He was such a character… always pulling faces and dunking his whole head in his water to drink 🤣 Corky has been retired for the last two or so years but didn’t go through last winter very well so we were quite apprehensive how he would cope this year. Unfortunately in the last few months his age definitely caught up with him and we are sorry to say we have had to let him go over the rainbow bridge this morning🌈. To say we are devastated is an understatement and an absolutely gigantic hole has been left in his place that just will never be filled. Thank you for all the amazing times Corky. You will never be forgotten 💔
