‼️ATTENTION CUSTOMERS‼️

This Sunday 03/11/2024 is the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. This means Clayton Hill has road restrictions in place and a one way system Southbound is in place.

Those travelling from Hassocks or Burgess Hill direction are unaffected, however those travelling from the Brighton area will need to allow additional time for their journey to us.

The road will show as closed when you come off the A23. Access will be given to 3 Greys, however this may not show on the boards or be visible from the road.

Please ensure you stop at the road closed signs and speak to a traffic Marshall or Police to advise them you are riding at 3 Greys and you need access. DO NOT let them turn you away for an alternative route.

Any issues at all please call us and we will provide assistance where we can.

We currently have a vacancy for an Equine Groom or Equine Groom Apprentice to join our fantastic team.

This is a full time role to include 1 working day at the weekend. Duties will include:

⭐️ All aspects of horse care
⭐️ All yard duties
⭐️ Feeding
⭐️ Riding
⭐️ Teaching

We are a busy riding school and livery yard with over 40 horses and ponies to take care of 🐴

Those undertaking an apprenticeship will have the opportunity to learn on the job, to include teaching. We will support you in obtaining a nationally recognised equine qualification 📚🎓

Earlier in the week Joker came in from the field with a nasty injury to his shoulder. Thankfully the vet was here very quickly and stitched him up and now he is having some time in his stable to recover. 🤕

A very true post. Everyone starts on a riding school pony 💗 Who was yours?

They are never just RIDING SCHOOL PONIES:

One day you may move onto bigger, fancier horses, but never forget the school horse who made you, as without them, you wouldn’t be able to ride anything at all.

The patient soul that tolerated your bouncing while you figured out how to sit the trot.

The kind mare that didn’t walk off when you fumbled with the bridle and figured out how to pop that bit in her mouth.

The sweet gelding that picked up the correct canter lead even though your body was telling him to do the exact opposite.

The saintly angel that never spooked, which was a dam good thing because your balance was precarious at best.

Too often we forget where we came from. We move on to the next chapter in our lives and say, “Oh my gosh, I’m learning so much! I’m going so far! I could never do this kind of thing on that old school horse!”

But infact you could, you were just not ready to do all these things back then.

But that school horse gave you the confidence to move forward. That school horse took care of you in all respects and allowed you to take the time you needed to find your way. You couldn’t have become the rider you are today without that riding school horse, always remember to love them unconditionally for our riding school horses are what help start your dream, make dreams come true and get you ready for those bigger dreams 🐴
