Today, right at the end of the day, a 98 year old lady came in to store, with her little dog, looking for a better harness. It was five minutes to closing time, and I knew that this was going to take at least 15 minutes, but what are you going to do? Tell a 98 year old legend that she needs to come back another day? Nope. We stayed and helped her out, and she left very happy, and she also made a decent donation for the National Animal Welfare Trust as well.
This is the local difference; we actually do care, it's not 'just a job', and staying a bit late to make a customer's life better is definitely not, 'more than my job's worth'.

Yesterday the Halloween stock came out. About two months too early you may say, but it's all good fun. The competition have had theirs out for a while, but is their range as good as ours? 😜

Today's dude of the day. A Silver Labrador. He was absolutely lovely, and left with a new Perfect Fit Harness and lead, a new harness coat, and lots of treats in his belly.

We have started to trade direct with the Nature's Grub company, which means we can now supply some products at a more competitive price, and introduce a few new products.
Our 60g pouches of dried bone broth are now £6.99 instead of £7.99. Also pictured are two new products: 250g packs of dried pumpkin powder for £12.99, which is a digestive aid for dogs and cats, and 'Super Calm', which is a blend of calming herbs for dogs, which you can add to any food.

It's a beautiful sunny morning on the farm. We are open normal hours, the same as every bank holiday. Many of our neighbours are closed today, and the roads are clear, so a great day to go shopping for your dog or cat.

I love it that a customer brought in presents for two of my staff today. He came in a couple of days ago, feeling very stressed about life, and the girls showed some care and made his day a lot better. This is where the magic is at. We aren't just a place to get your stuff, we are part of people's lives, and we want to make life better, for you and your special hairy friends.

And for a change, here is a cat! One of our customers has just got home with their purchase of raw cat food, and Baker the cat decided that if he fits, he sits.
Our cat food sales are definitely on the increase since we filled a whole tall freezer with frozen raw cat food.
