Fosse Farm Flowers

Things have been a little quiet on socials as earlier this year as I was delighted to be asked by The Duchy of Cornwall to become a Farming Family Ambassador supporting Duchy tenants across the region. Work & travels have taken me to the Scillys, Devon, Cornwall, Bath & Hereford meeting hard working farmers & Duchy staff ⬇️

An absolute highlight this week at Folly Farm Centre was the gathering of our daughters & young future farmers in the presence of HRH Prince William who announced becoming a Patron of the brilliant mental health charity based in Hereford & who are now able to support all Duchy families across the region.

Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland & Vick Hope were all present along with inspiring speakers discussing mental health & farming succession with media from Clarksons Farm & Countryfile. A very memorable day! ⬇️

Rest assured flower seeds have been sown for this year’s flowers 🌺 I just might need some kind volunteers to come help, drink tea have good conversations, enjoy the companionship & gorgeous views from the farm….all very therapeutic!

The last Friday cafe of 2024 at is on December 20th from 9am. The beautiful barn cosy & warm will be lit by candles & fairy lights. Join us for coffee, festive cake or a light lunch with family & friends. Plenty of easy parking BA34RA

The chrysanthemums are still blooming & still available on a Friday at the farm pop up cafe at BA34RA these little beauties last for ages. Treat yourself to a bouquet, a great coffee, delicious homemade cake or a big bowl of vegetable soup. Always a warm welcome & always plenty of flowery & farming conversation. Open from 9am

Seasonal flower sales have ended for 2024 however this just means more focus on the pop up FRIDAY Cafe at beautiful Fosse Farm BA34RA.

Each Friday Im there early, baking fresh scones & arranging the homemade cake bar. Jeremy joins me after feeding the cattle to operate the coffee machines & we open the doors at 9am until 3.30pm.

We like to keep things simple, fresh produce, local if possible, great ethical coffee from , milk from Midway Dairy, home bakes & freshly made vegetable soups with crusty rolls & Somerset butter.

Its a place with a great community & creative vibe, always a warm welcome, never worry about arriving alone, we have some sharing tables & new friendships will be made, there is a book swop library & we’re very happy to host well behaved dogs on leads either in the cosy barn or around the outside tables should the weather be good. Lovely countryside walks surround the farm & plenty of parking available too BA34RA

Will do my best to bring freshly cut flowers again this Friday to Fosse farm open earlier from 9am, coffee cake & a raffle in aid of Macmillan. We have erected a small marquee so if you are out walking with a rather wet & muddy dog no worries we’ve got you covered 🐾 BA34RA

Open from 10am. Pop in for Oddkin Coffee Roasters coffee & cake, freshly harvested salad bags & quiche at lunch time. Lovely outside seating & a great destination to walk to from local villages 🐾 plenty of parking too

Butterflies & bees are a common visitor to the flower field & fascinating to watch.
We’ve left a border of nettles around the area & this apparently is the Comma butterfly’s favourite food, Echinacea too perhaps!
