Routine TB tests were clear & therefore the cattle were released from their winter housing to enjoy the lush green grass, giving us a few extra hours each day to catch up, enjoy the summer ladies 🐄

If you fancy a wooded walk on Friday amongst carpets of wild garlic & bluebells then head to Holcombe Woods, less than a 30 minute walk from Fosse farm. We are open for coffee, cake & cream teas from 10-3 & bowls of vegetable soups are served at lunchtime. We have inside or outside seating & we are dog friendly 🐾
Booking a table is advised if coming in a group.

Open Farm Sunday certainly pulls in the crowds! In past years we have raised money for various charities & with the help of many other farmers & organisations given you a fantastic day out on the farm, so it is with a heavy heart we have to announce the cancellation of this years event at Fosse farm in June.
Due to the persistent wet weather essential farm work is behind & when the weather improves the team here will be focusing & working very hard to catch up with field work. So sorry. Jeremy & Sue

We are less than a 30minute walk to Holcombe Old Church & woods, this time of year you’ll see & smell the gorgeous wild garlic & if you’ll lucky most probably a carpet of wild bluebells. Call into Fosse farm Stratton on the Fosse, park up & enjoy the walk, popping into the barn for coffee, cake & homemade soup. The weather looks dry on Friday!
Our picnic tables are now out for customer use, so if you’ve enjoyed a long muddy walk & would prefer to sit outside we’ve got that covered.

When we found out a Coffee roaster lives just 20yds from the barn we just had to try Oddkin Coffee Roasters. This weeks trial was a great success ☕️ So if you appreciate good coffee, seasonally & ethically sourced, with a fair price paid to the coffee farmers, pop into Fosse farm on a Friday 10.30 -3ish we’d love to see you.

All vegetables for yesterday’s soups & eggs for the cakes were supplied by the very lovely team at The Little Farm Shed. Do check them out, such an endearing story, a family run business led by children Laurel & Rosie, soon to have a shop in the Market Place in Shepton as well as offering local deliveries. Huge congratulations to them winning the Shepton Innovation award ⭐️

We’ve celebrated World Book Day this week & during coffee today a brilliant suggestion came up for Fosse Farm to host a village community book exchange service. So from Friday March 15th a book case will be available to receive books in good condition to share. Pop in anytime on a Friday between 10.30 - 3ish.

Here’s to all the women in the agricultural sector this international women’s day. 💪🏼
There are SO many reasons to support British female farmers, from challenging outdated stereotypes, to leading the way with research, to juggling full-time year round farm work whilst also carrying and raising children, keeping a home and dealing with the rollercoaster that is being female 💪🏼❤️
Every day I see so many inspiring female farmers/agricultural workers through social media, and Doodling Lucy is proud to support British farmers both male and female.
Strong women, let us know them, raise them and be them 💪🏼💞

Tables set with beautiful vintage china for a beautiful ladies special birthday. The barn is dressed up or down depending on the occasion, doors can be opened for a larger celebration or meeting & when we host educational school visits the venue takes on a different look again. All in a days work….do what you love, love what you do ❤️

Always a great moment to hear this! A lack of harvest photos from me this year, Ive been busy in the flower field whilst Jeremy, our daughter & the wonderful team gather in the harvest. We’ve earned a few days off & it couldn’t have come at a better time to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next week 🥂

50 stems of Autumn gorgeousness 💐 The sunshine has certainly helped bring more blooms ready for cutting. Orders taken for just a few more weeks until the final flowers of our first growing year 2021. Lots of flowers planned for 2022 starting with Spring bulbs, sweet williams & fiery red wallflowers. Bring on the planting!
