We had a very excited Sully return this Saturday! He's had some time off due his 2nd TPLO procedure & now he's back to help strengthen that limb post surgery. Sully absolutely loves his swimming and enjoys a good old protest when it come to leaving the pool at the end of his session.

🎉 **Exciting News!** 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that Kath, who has been instrumental in reopening our centre in November 2022, is now officially a shared owner and director of North West Canine Hydrotherapy!

Her dedication and passion have already made a monumental impact, and we can't wait to see where this new chapter takes us all.

Rosie has been joining us twice a week for rehabilitation following a femoral head and neck excision (FHNE) due to Legg Calvé Perthes disease; a condition where poor blood supply to the ‘ball’ part of the hip joint results in necrosis of the femoral head leading to a stiff and very painful joint.

After the femoral head and neck has been removed, fibrous tissue fills the space and forms a ‘false’ joint. Hydrotherapy post surgery helps to encourage use of the limb, strengthen the false joint and builds muscle mass back up in a controlled environment.

Heidi is fairly new to flyball and is part of the flyball team.
She's been attending hydrotherapy around 8 months to help with conditioning, muscle mass and cardiovascular fitness. She's recently recorded a PB and is part of the team that set a new club record. Fingers crossed we'll be seeing her at next year Go Heidi 🙌🥰

This little guy is Pirate and he's recently started his hydrotherapy journey to help conservatively manage a low grade patella luxation 💙

Our new senior on the block is the gorgeous 15 year old Robin 💙 He has recently started joining us for sessions in the pool to help with his general mobility and to improve his muscle mass.

Retired police dog Thor is 13 years old and joins us to help with his general mobility and well being. He's also a TV star and appeared on 'Caught in the act' 🤩
