LOST..KNOWSLEY VILLAGE AREA!
Two Black Labradors, one male and one female.
Could be Knowsley/Stockbridge/Croxteth Country Park/Kirby areas by now.
All relevant people informed but please if anyone local has any sightings of these two dogs please contact via Messenger asap.
THEY ARE NOT MY DOGS OR DOGS TRAINED BY ME. I'M POSTING THIS ON BEHALF OF THE VERY WORRIED OWNER.

Bit of steadiness training before we start picking up in a few weeks time.
Dummies thrown randomly then send each dog in turn while the others wait and watch.

Not long to go before I'll be back at the Cheshire Game and Angling Fair at Peover near Knutsford to demonstrate Gundogs training and handling techniques in the Main Arena.
This year I'll be bringing along a couple of my "students" to take part in the demonstration with their own dogs which were trained using my methods and guidance. As always we'll be available to chat about any aspect of Gundogs work so feel free to come and speak to Kim Howlett , Shelley Johnson or myself after the demonstrations. N.B. There will be NO TRAINING on my field tomorrow, Saturday, due to maintenance work taking place on my building.
Sorry guys but I NEED to take advantage of the improvement in the weather to get these jobs done. Make sure anyone involved is aware of my plans please.

We've had pics of Jack and his sons so now it's time for a mother and daughter moment.
Penny's daughter has come to stay with her for a few weeks and she's the perfect mix of her mum and dad. Just like both parents she's a lovely retriever with a perfect temperament and desire to please. She's an absolute pleasure to have around, just like both her parents.

The boys are back!
Two of our Jack's sons are back to stay with their Dad for a few weeks and they're obviously intent on having some fun if today was anything to go by. Talk about energy! I'm thinking of eating what they're having 😉

I left the dogs at the stay while I walked off throwing dummies out of their sight .
I didn't realise how far I'd gone until I was halfway back so I started to video.
They were all in exactly the same spot and I'd been gone a while.

I haven't been posting much lately so here's a bit from today's walk.
Brakes and steering practice, I threw dummies into the bushes while the dogs were left out of sight a long way off, I sent them off and stopped them where I'd thrown them in and gave them a direction.
Pollen is getting to me but dogs make it worth it 😏

A couple of retrieves into the wood where the dog is sent to hunt the area without actually being able to mark the fall. The dogs need to get on with hunting the area without relying on help from the handler, just like when picking up or working with more than one Gun. Sam and Grace working together, one remaining steady while the other goes out for the retrieve.

Obedience training in the rain for the team this morning. There are plenty of pheasants left and walking them off the stubble with all the dogs at heel is great for steadiness, especially when the c***s run across in front and they've been picking runners all season.

Some practice on taking a straight line to the area of the blind retrieve over varying distances. My cameraman completely missed Grace making a neat job of this one but woke up in time to get this clip of Sam.
