This little bundle of fluffiness is Scooby 🥰 Scooby has been in with us today for dentistry but was not happy being left in a kennel and was quite vocal about it too! To make sure he stayed happy and calm he has spent most of the day being cuddled by one of our nurses. ❤️ Before his procedure he was carried round in a make shift papoose and this afternoon he joined in on our staff meeting ❤️ He has now gone home with his family for more pampering at home while he recovers ❤️

Pet Health Check – only £24.99!* 🩺

The festivities may be over, but your furry friends might still feel the effects! From gobbling goodies, to the excitement of visitors, the holiday season can take its toll.

💡Your pet can’t tell you what’s wrong, but we can:
☑️ Weight and body: That extra snacking, chilly weather and salty pavements can all add up!
☑️ Behaviour changes: The stress of changes in routine and noisy celebrations can affect your pet’s well-being.
☑️ Joints and mobility: Cold weather can affect mobility by making your pet’s joints stiff and painful.

Our expert veterinary nurses can spot and address any potential concerns early to ensure your pet starts the New Year healthy and happy! 🥳

Book a pet Health Check here: https://FindAHealthCheck.softr.app

*For well dog, cats and rabbits only. Please book a consultation if your pet is ill. Full T&Cs on the Offer page on the website.

We’re making it easier than ever to keep your pets protected! 🐾

To help you stay on top of vaccinations, we’ve partnered with RSVP, a trusted call centre team and have set up a dedicated Vaccination Booking Service. This service will be reaching out to you on our behalf to offer convenient booking options for your pet’s vaccination appointments. You’ll receive a friendly reminder call, so you can easily schedule an appointment at a time that suits you best! 🗓️

This partnership allows us to focus more on providing excellent care, while the Vaccination Booking Service ensures no vaccinations are missed. Feel free to book directly with us, or simply look out for the call from our new service!

Keeping pets happy, healthy, and up to date—because they deserve the very best. 💙

🌟 PET OF THE YEAR🌟
Bryan has a big place in all of our hearts and very much deserves to be Wigmore Vets bravest pet of the year! This summer, while having fun in the garden, Bryan ran into a tree 🌳Sadly this resulted in him suffering a brachial plexus avulsion, (a form of nerve damage), meaning that he could neither feel or move his front left leg! Under the care and advice of a specialist neurologist, Bryan was given time to see if any movement/feeling would return. During these 3 months, he developed some deep wounds on the leg so was visiting the team at Wigmore almost daily for bandage changes, for which he was an absolute superstar! After 3 months, with no signs of real improvement, despite his owners extreme dedication, the difficult decision was made to amputate Bryan’s leg to allow him to go back to a normal happy life running around (but hopefully avoiding trees!). Vet Hannah performed the amputation in November and we are thrilled to say Bryan is doing brilliantly, running around off lead, living his best life again ❤️

Meet Super Slimmer Marshall!
Marshall has lost a whopping 10kg this year going from 61kg down to 51kg, as an older boy at nine and a half years old this is quite an achievement. He was more than happy to show off his new figure for the camera in return for a well done treat from vet Hannah ❤
Obesity in dogs is worrying for many reasons as it can increase the risk of various health conditions, and contributes to a decreased lifespan. These conditions include arthritis, diabetes, breathing problems and some types of cancer.
Huge well done to Marshall's owners for their dedication to getting him down to a healthy weight.
