Who else is looking forward to warm sunny days and brighter evenings??
✨ Superstar Patient Doris ✨
Introducing Doris ❤
Doris is a 5 year old French Bulldog cross and has been coming to Wigmore Veterinary Centre since she was a puppy. In June last year, after being unwell for a little while, Doris was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Lymphoma is one of the most common types of cancer diagnosed in dogs 💔
After discussing all treatment options, Doris' owners decided to go ahead with chemotherapy treatment and their journey began. Doris came in to see us most weeks from July until today when she received her last treatment!! 🛎 Her weekly visits comprised of regular blood tests as well as the chemotherapy and there has been the odd week she has had to miss treatment due to her white blood cell count being too low. Throughout all of this however, Doris has remained an absolute star, not once has she grumbled at us ❤ Vet Carina and Nurse Jo have become incredibly fond of her over the last few months!
We wish Doris and her family all the best going forward and hope they enjoy many more vet free weeks ahead together!

Getting for Christmas?
Getting for Christmas?
Our out-of-hours provider Vets Now are too.
Christmas can quickly lose its sparkle if there’s a pet emergency.
Illness can strike at any time of the year but with all that tempting tinsel, fascinating fairy lights and treats on every table, it’s easy to see how accidents can happen.
So while you’re getting ready for the festive season, it’s important to know our vets will be too.
And our partnership with Vets Now ensures that you’re covered over Christmas and beyond.
💊ANTIBIOTIC AMNESTY💊
IVC Evidensia are working with a number of UK Veterinary companies to highlight the need for the safe disposal of antibiotics.
In November, overlapping with World Antibiotic Awareness Week (18th - 24th November), we are asking our clients to return as many unused antibiotics as possible so that we can dispose of them safely.
Don't forget, clocks go back! An extra hour in bed, or a box, whichever's your preference . . .
It's National Black Cat Day. Show us a picture of your black beauty below . . .
Let your dog be nosey on a walk, it's their natural behaviour and is an activity that is needed for their general wellbeing.

☀ SUMMER TIPS FOR RABBIT OWNERS ☀
Although rabbits originate from the western Mediterranean, they’re not actually used to spending too much time in the red-hot sun. This is because in the wild, rabbits hide out in deep burrows where it’s cool and shaded. Hot summer days can prove dangerous to our bunnies. Here are our 5 summer tips for rabbit owners . . . https://www.myfamilyvets.co.uk/5-summer-tips-for-rabbit-owners
