Entries open! Holcombe Hoof, 21 September 2024. The Sunnywood Project and Margaret Haes Riding Centre joint fundraising 10 mile hike over Holcombe Moor or a family-friendly 1.5 mile walk with horses. Follow the horseshoe marked routes!

We have two places available on Tuesday 6th Aug (suitable for beginners)

3 places available on our walk/trot/canter hack on the 13th Aug @10 (must be able to demonstrate this is a no regular rider)

And lastly 10am on Tuesday 27th Aug (2 places available (suitable for a beginner)

Please note our maximum rider weight limit is currently 12 stone (we only have one horse who can carry this) then it’s 11.5 stone.

Busy week at Margaret Haes Riding Centre!

On Monday and Tuesday, Becky Cooper Performance Coach BHSI and was running two full days of BHS Stage 2 Care training, building on theory sessions.

On Friday, Alison Whittaker-Stewart BHS APC Stage 3, Challenge Awards and Ride Safe Trainer, was running a full day of BHS Sliver Challenge Ride Safe training and assessment.

NOW OPEN - The Studio! The new well-being and cultural hub at the Riding Centre. Flexible space, viewing window to indoor arena, kitchen, disabled toilet, heaters and wifi. An amazing conversion from an unused workshop.

Thank you to Community Ownership Fund, Community Lottery, The British Horse Society and a local Foundation for the financial support .Thank you to local builders Nest Building Services Ltd for great conversion and also to Ryder Architecture for pro bono advice. Available to hire for pony birthday parties, art events and health workshops and similar. Interested contact [email protected].

Fabulous performance of Romeo and Juliet by the amazing Illyria . One of the greatest love stories of all time. Thank you to the talented cast - Sarah, Chris, Christopher, Sarah, Lydia and Samuel.

Thank you to all of you that came to support the Riding Centre - a charity for those with disability. The funds will help us care for the horses and ponies that mean so much to all our riders and volunteers, helping to change lives.

Thank you to Ramsbottom Rotary volunteers who return every year to help steward and all the Centre's volunteers that organised and helped.
