Let's talk about poo! 💩
Picking up and disposing of your dog's poo responsibly when out and about on walks is so important for many reasons including:
- Dog poo can contaminate waterways leading to harmful environmental changes
- Dog poo on farmland can damage crops and impact farmers
- Some parasites and bacteria in dog poo can make people, especially young children, very sick if they come into contact with it
- The are concerns about some flea and worm treatments being excreted in dog poo and harming animals in the wider environment if left
So please, when you're out on a walk PICK IT UP and BIN IT in a designated dog poo bin 🤎🙂💚

A black, long haired female cat was brought into us injured last night after being hit by a car. She was found on Brook Road in Rayleigh at the end of Weir Gardens. We have not been able to trace the owner due to her not being chipped. Please call us if you think she could be yours. 01268 745180.

We have had deceased black male entire cat brought in to us this morning by a member of the public who has unfortunately been hit by a car. He was found in weir farm road. He is microchipped but it is not registered. If you think this cat may be yours please contact the practice on 01268 745180

With spring just around the corner have you considered putting in some plants to help our struggling pollinators?
Even a small planter or window box can provide a much needed food source for bees and other vital insects which help keep biodiversity going.
Here at YourVets Rayleigh we have some bee-friendly planters at our entrance and other plants in our back parking area to try and help our pollinator friends. 🐝🦋💚

Sadly we have had a deceased female tabby cat brought into us this evening from Canvey Island. She is a tabby and wearing an Apple Airtag and collar. She is chipped but it's not registered. We are unable to get the owners details from the Airtag but we have "pinged" it. Please call 01268 745180 if you believe she is yours.

We have had a large dog handed into us this morning, wearing black collar with no tag. The dog is microchipped but not registered in any database. Please contact the surgery if you believe this is your dog. Proof of ownership will be required.
