Our small team who run The Haven Community Hub joined the amazing guys from the Days at the Haven based within The hub for Dementia and Alzheimers training with Training 2 Care UK Ltd last week.

As part of the training each staff memeber was taken wearing a pair of plastic gloves under large padded gloves, yellow glasses with no peripheral vision, head phones that sounded like white nose and a radio being tuned with the occasion surprise door slamming or emergency service whizzing past and inner soles with small spikes in their shoes, into a room with bright flashing lights and asked to preform simple daily tasks.

This small insight into how someone with Dementia or Alzheimers could exsists daily was amazing for us to be able to give the care needed within our neurological day service.

Folk and Bespoke will be hosting an Artisan Craft Fair event at the Mill Arts and Events Centre on the 17th December.

Accommodating over 40 skilled artists, artisans and craftspeople, all of whom can’t wait to showcase their hand curated items and products.
