Excellent night! Well done to the following who passed their KCGC Silver last night!

Jane and Rosie the Labradoodle - our very special lady who passed at 11 years old! Way to go Rosie!
Anna and Yasna the Xolo
Jackie, Roger and Dylan the Dutch Shepherd! His owners have a done an awesome job with Dylan after recently adopting him from Battersea!

Mandy and Neo the Tibetan Terrier - A very special moment as Neo’s owner have worked really hard on his examination - Massive well done to you guys!

Myself and Mayan put ourselves to the test (practice what we preach!), where I am pleased to state Mayan also passed his Silver KCGC!

Massive congratulations to everyone and special thank you to Chris once again for being our wonderful examiner.

Massive congratulations to Charlie the Cocker Spaniel who passed their KCGC Gold today!

Another bittersweet moment as we have come to end of our training journey with Charlie and Jennifer! So humbled to have been part of their journey, particularly a bittersweet moment as Charlie has been with us from a very young puppy, passing their KCGC Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and now Gold with Cognit Canines!

Our first 1-2-1 of the year with the cheeky Lenny the Golden Retriever! What a handsome boy!

Lenny joined us for some loose lead walking training and did fabulous 👌

A bittersweet moment as we have come to the end of our journey with this group ♥️ you guys have been brilliant and have the most amazing dogs, you should be so proud of everything you have achieved from the Bronze, Silver and now the Gold.

After the Gold test we were followed by a wonderful Christmas Party 🥳

A massive thank you to everyone who has trained with us with this year whether this was 1-2-1s, ringcraft or our KCGC!

Our last class is tomorrow, where we would like to wish Ava, Bran and Percy lots of luck for their Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Test!!

Followed by a Christmas party for our other group where we have lots of fun games and prizes to win!

This year we had:

17 dogs and owners pass their Bronze KCGC with us - 100% pass rate! 🥉

We had 6 dogs pass their Silver KCGC - 100% pass rate 🥈

Good luck to our Gold candidates tomorrow!

We had massive success with our ring craft group, such highlights include Tucker the BMD debuting and qualifying for Crufts 2025 and Yasna our very Xolo winning best special beginners and Group 1 Special Beginners at Windsor Championship show. Not to mention Philly the PJR gaining her first RCC!

Cognit Canines held our first fun dog show in the warmer months where Harper the Wire-haired Dachshund was crowned Best in Show and raised £2000 for Thames Valley Hospice.

We also popped by Newbury Ringcraft for a Bronze test and a match night - many thanks for inviting me Nev!

A massive thank you to Chris Trendle for being our KCGC examiner throughout the year!

We were also pleased with being promoted to Breed Education Coordinator for the Xoloitzcuintle so lots of exciting things coming up in 2025 for this breed.

We kick started our Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen last week! This is the highest level of the KCGC programme which involves a range of complicated exercises that begin to merge companion and competitive obedience elements.

We are very much looking forward to seeing these guys progress with us even further after passing their Bronze and Silver with Cognit Canines!

Massive thank you to Newbury Ringcraft for inviting me to judge your match night last night! Some fantastic dogs where it was a difficult choice at times!

However my main winners were:

Reserve Puppy in Match: Norfolk Terrier (only 13 weeks old! So cute!)

Great session today with the ringcraft group, well done to these guys!

We welcomed Cecil the PJR as a newbie to ringcraft, we are looking forward to everyone competing at Midland Counties!

We have a pre Midlands counties session coming up for anyone interested in doing ringcraft 😊

We had a fantastic 1-2-1 this weekend with Dylan the Dutch Shepherd who is working towards their KCGC Bronze title - a fabulous session where Dylan is very much progressing towards achieving this on the 14th October!

If you would like to have a session to work towards the Bronze with your dog do get in touch, we also cater 1-2-1s for working on all types of training and ringcraft. We can also offer help with reactivity, resource guarding and much more!

We had a lovely1-2-1 with Neo the Tibetan Terrier - how pretty is he?!

Neo has joined us for some ringcraft training and we are really looking forward to seeing his progress!

We made some really good progress in the session so fingers crossed we can keep building on this!

The Bronze will be starting on Monday 26th August at 7pm and will run for 8 weeks at Silchester Village Hall

If you would like to join, please message where a introductory email will be sent!

The course is open to all but aimed at owners and doggies that are looking for an introductory course to obedience to learn the basics and more.

We wanted to share some wonderful news regarding Yasna the Xoloitzcuintli! Yasna has been working with us for some ringcraft, we had some hurdles to cross but Yasna smashed these today! Yasna attended her first Championship Show today at Windsor where she won 1st Special Beginners and then won Group 2 Special Beginners!

What an absolute result!
