What a cutie patootie 💜🐶 this little girl is (18wk CavaPoo) ⭐️!!

She and her human sisters have been rocking ‘Puppy 1’ 🤩🤩. They have been practicing recall, focus on handler, mat-work, toy play, 4 paws on the floor and loose leash walking.

Whilst pup was waiting for her 2nd vaccination we set up ‘crossing the road’ scenario as well as ‘figure 8’ walking on lead/eye-contact. So that when they ventured outside the humans were confident and on the same page 😜⭐️🐾💜. Keep up the great work xx

Super Dooper proud of this boy 🐾⭐️💜 (22 mth ClumberPoo) and his big brother 😎… who were smashing loose leash walking. We have been working on his focus on handler whether it is indoor (excitable greeting 😜) or outside 🤩🥳🥰!! xx

Super apologies to my amazing dog guardians and thank you for your patience this week everyone (not been quite on the ball 🐾💔🥲) 🙏🏼💜! You are the best ⭐️😘.

Molly 10yrs (my 92 year young dad’s dog) has had sudden serious life threatening kidney & liver issues. We have been in and out of Vets4Pets Tilehurst (who have been AMAZING even when I blubbered on Friday … from lack of sleep trying to keep her hydrated/Stabilised) and VetsNow. We have a routine going now … she is even managing 5min sniff on a patch of grass nearby to keep her brain going 🥳🐾🤩!! Long way to go yet … but you all know baby steps are the best steps of all 😁!

Back to normal next week 😜🎉!

Suuuper duuper proud 🐾⭐️⭐️ of these two girls (16wk Chihuahua) and her young handler 🥰!! I could really see a team forming at this week’s session 🎉🎉.

The young guardian has great observational skills and is showing real patience in slicing each element so pup’s 🐶 confidence and trust grows especially around ‘handling’ equipment 🤩!!

Both are working towards their dog ‘support’ assessment 💜 … nothing like a training spreadsheet (once a teacher always a teacher 😜🤣) to keep training on track and to make sure we practice all the skills not just the ones we like.

Awww super proud of this boy (10mth Dachsie) 🥳🐾⭐️! Who came to see me about his worry about being left alone ❤️‍🩹!

Whilst working on his BIG emotions around separation we have also been developing his confidence around loose leash street walking!! At the start of the session he had no idea a human was actually holding the other end of the lead … he was the horse and they the cart his job was to pull😜🤣!! Rewarding good or desired behaviour from our dogs, supporting & acknowledging big emotions and creating a close connection goes a looong way to a more enjoyable chilled walk for all 😁🥳.

… note how he is not leaving without the ‘chicken lady’ … ME 😜🤣🤣🤣! Love him 🐾💜⭐️

I am out supporting and and talking rescue dogs 🐕 at the Swallowfield Show tomorrow 🥳🐾🤩!! We will be raising much needed funds for ‘Forget Me Not Reading Rescues’ … come and have a go at the tombola!!

Serena (the hero rescuer 💕⭐️) will be there on Monday as she is currently returning from taking two kill shelter puppies Kya & Sapphire 🐾🐾 to the Shetlands to their new amazing furever homes 🥳🐾⭐️💕🐕🎉

Super proud of this little lady (18mth Rommie) who has recently welcomed her new much big older 😜 brother (9yr BoxerbullyX) to the family 🐾🐾⭐️💜!

Sadly his previous guardian recently passed away so he has a lot going on ❤️‍🩹. However he has landed with his bum-in-the-butter with his new amazing patient hoomans 🙏🏼⭐️⭐️🥰!

They are taking it slowly and showing him how to be gentle with his new little sister. He has had very very little previous training so some of the basics are being revisited…boy does he love learning 🙏🏼🐾⭐️! There is a way to go 😜☺️ … on a side note … he has a WAISTLINE emerging 🎉🥳 … less of a chunky monkey double dog now 🤣😆xx

Super proud of this little lady 🐾💜 (18mth C/W Corgi ) and her brother on the right (7.5yrs C/W Corgi ) ⭐️🥰!! Big bro was not being left out of training 😜😆!!

She like many teenage dogs can struggle a bit with overwhelm in busy city environments. Lots of movement, unpredictability and weird smells/noises!

Her amazing hoomans ⭐️⭐️🙏🏼💜 are helping her by reading her body language quicker so they can better her ‘big emotions’, they are setting her training up for success, improving sensitive leash handling … whilst also giving her plenty of non-trigger walks.

She still has a way to go but I can see the her confidence growing … super dooper chuffed for all of them 🥳🐾⭐️🥰xx

Look at these two gorgeous girls (both 7yr GSD’s) 🐾🐾⭐️😘! Both are ‘Usain Bolt’ 😜😆 when it comes to leaving the house and and ‘dive bombing’ into the back of the car 😳🫣😁… walking has been a bit challenging too.

They and their super amazing ‘dad’ have been through a tough tough year ❤️‍🩹💪🤩!! However they are all starting to move forward and with the help and support of AMAZING friends (you know who you are 💜⭐️) who dive straight into the training … they can only go from strength to strength!!

We have all started at the beginning with these two beautiful girls…building bonds (enrichment & meetings their needs) and consistency in teaching/showing what is expected: when we get to a gate, how to walk on a loose leash and how to begin to focus on the handlers when outside the gate 🐾🐾🎉⭐️🥰!

Yes there is a way to go … but remember… each tiny step is the building block to a slightly bigger one! Super proud of you all 🤩😘💪xx

Just suuper dooper proud 🤩🐾🥰 of this 2yr lab boy!! He has been on an adolescent ‘Big Emotions’ journey this past year and a bit 🫣😜 … who for the first time took his amazing hoomans to the pub 😜🎉!!

In the beginning just allowing people in the front door was challenging for him. His guardians 😘 have been patient, consistent and resilient (especially this as things don’t always go according to plan or time schedule) … they absolutely adore this handsome boy 🐾💜!!

He did super well at his first pub visit (think his hoomans were more nervous 🫣😳😜😆) … but he had it sorted! Yes we chose a very quiet time of day … because it’s all about building his confidence and slowly letting him process in his own time 🤩🐾!!

Training repetitions and practicing in enclosed field/wooded areas like Hounds & Bounds … setting up being at a ‘pub’ table with my little Daisy dog stooging helped his guardians and him rehearse possible scenarios 🤩. Just a privilege 🙏🏼🐾💜 to be part of his journey ⭐️xx

A very special moment 🙏🏼🐾💜… when a ‘Rommie’ decides … to accept you … leaning into me and even pawing me for more chest rubs (using 2 seconds and pause to see if she continues to consent)!!

This gorgeous girl (14mths) has had an eventful first 6 months here in the UK. A new forever family and had a litter of two gorgeous pups (she was an amazing mummy 🐾🐾🐾⭐️)!!

Throughout this period she has been supported and LOVED by her incredible hoomans 🤩💜…. Patience, space, consistency, perseverance, play, decompression and teaching all go into building trust and that bond….🥰🐾💜xx
