Meet newest intake: Hazel
Hazel is a 4 month old female syrian who was rescued by volunteers Raya and Kaye. She will be staying with them for a little while until coming to our base in Reading for a quick assessment period before she goes up for adoption. Her owners no longer wanted her as she had bitten the child, therefore making them all scared of her. They pretty much wanted rid of her as quick as possible though did care about her, however were very uneducated. The house was very busy with a lot of small children and dogs, which has evidently been very stressful for her!
She's such a kind, gentle girlie who has not bitten at all since bing rescued and is so calm and friendly. Hard to believe they were talking about the same hamster!!
