Leading up to Christmas is always a busy time of year at Groomology and working every day 8am to 6pm it is frustrating when people do not turn up for their appointment. I have had 4 no shows in the last week! 2 of these have been 8am appointments which are difficult to fill from my cancellation list.
If you do not show up on the day of the appointment you will be charged the full cost of the groom and risk not getting back in for a couple of months.

Please also don’t forget to confirm the appointment offered. If I don’t hear from you within 48 hours the appointment will be offered out to someone else.

There are no appointments available now before Christmas and January is filling up fast.
Please, if you cannot make your appointment, please let me know. Not showing up twice unfortunately you will be removed from my books.

Just to remind you Groomology will not be open on Mondays from 2026 so there will be less appointments available per week going forward.

Some lovely flowers from a client for my up and coming 60th birthday on Thursday. Did I say 60? Blimey I am old! 🤣🤣🤣 thank you Jason and Michelle , very kind and thoughtful of you both. Hope you had a lovely 50th Jason and enjoy your well deserved holiday. See you soon x

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to the beautiful Jas - old English Sheep dog. Jas was 13.5 years old which is a brilliant age for her breed.
Still, it doesn’t make it any easier to come to terms with her passing for her family or me.
When I read the sad news I was in floods of tears as I only groomed her last week.
It was a privilege to have known her over the last few years and always a pleasure to see her. She had a beautiful temperament and despite being a big dog was an absolute pleasure to groom.
My thoughts are with her family at this very sad time.
Run free baby girl. I will miss you Jassy baby ###

The last 12 months have been very busy and a difficult time at Groomology with groomers leaving after they have been trained up. This has had a huge impact on the appointments going forward and I have been working 10-12 hour days to try and keep on top of things and this cannot continue.
I cannot sustain this as it is now having a huge impact on my health (having now been diagnosed with a blood disorder ) I cannot risk infection and the condition comes with terrible fatigue! My MS has also taken a turn in the wrong direction causing me to lose strength in my upper body with terrible fatigue too. I’ve been feeling quite unwell over the last week and spent all weekend trying to recover. This is happening more and more each week and I cannot continue like this.

I have therefore had to make the very difficult decision to drop some clients to ease up my work load in order to continue.

This has not been an easy decision for me to make and is very upsetting for me to have to do this and apologise to those customers that have been affected, but wanted to thank you for your business and it’s been a pleasure grooming your dog and to assure you it is nothing personal.

Cancer affects so many lives and not everyone makes it through to the other side.
Have lost some close friends to cancer and now seeing a very close friend fight her battle against this terrible disease, it’s heart breaking to watch.
Please help me raise some funds to find a cure. Let’s stop this horrible monster from taking our loved ones.
Every penny helps. Hopefully I will do more than 30 miles. Thank you in advance ###
