How To Make Yak Chew Puffs Everything you’ll need to turn yak chews into puffs in the microwave First, get your materials together: Yak dog chew Bowl of room temperature water Microwave-safe plate Microwave Instructions Treat time is close! Follow these simple steps to make a delicious yak chew treat for your dog: 1) Soak the chew: Place the last few inches of the yak dog chew into the bowl of water and let it sit for five minutes. This helps soften the chew and prepare it to puff in the microwave. We usually use the last 3” of our dogs’ chews, but any size will work! 2) Microwave: Remove the chew from the water and place it on the microwave-safe plate. Microwave it for 45-60 seconds, or until puffing stops completely. The yak cheese chew will expand quite a bit, and can puff up to three times its size. 3) Let cool: Allow the yak puff to cool for a few minutes until it is completely cool to the touch. 4)Serve it to your dog! This cows hoof can be filled with anything! JR Pate, yoghurt, mashed up fruit. It enhances enrichment which makes it longer lasting, more enjoyable for your dog and also helps regulate and stimulate their brain which aids in their mental health! Pop it in the freezer to freeze and take it out a few hours later! We use; 4 raspberries Some apple diced A squirt of yoghurt A small spoonful of low fat soft cheese Mix it all together, fill the hoof. I put Willows in the freezer for an hour. This kept her quiet for a good 45 minutes. You can then repeat the process as many times as you like🙌🏻
