Terms and Conditions:
Appointments
Appointment times given out are a set time for the dog's appointment to begin, please allow 5-10 minutes prior to appt for arrival and handover. If you arrive too early to your appt you may be turned away for a brief moment to ensure the
1-on-1 policy is maintained. During the appt the dog will be groomed to the best of my ability ensuring a thorough job is done
. Please make sure that when you receive your 'all done' text or phone call, that collection is prompt. Failure to
collect within stated collection time may result in day care fees applied due to disregard of the 1-on-1 policy. The 1-on-1 policy is in place due to solo working, space allowed, and no cage environment provided in the salon. Matted Dogs
I will allow a 15 minute period, dog depending, for detangling any matted areas across the whole of the dog's body. This is ONLY done based on the dog's tolerance to matts being removed. If the severity of dog's matts will take longer than
the given 15 minutes AND/OR the dog displays a low tolerance level an entire clip off will be required which will incur a de-matting clip off surcharge of £10-£20 breed/size depending on & automatically applied. Nails
Nail appts must be booked a minimum of 24hrs in advance and will be charged at £10 per dog. Full groom/wash and tidy appts will also get nails included in the price, however will only be completed/attempted if the dog allows. Solo working
with dogs means if they show any dislike it may impede progress and prevent completion. Some dogs may also appear to have long nails and on occasion only a small amount of nail is able to be removed this could be due to the length
of nail qwick, if this is caught while nail clipping it may bleed and also be painful for the dog, I do have measures in place if such occurs to prevent further bleeding. Most nails stop bleeding relatively quickly
and no further action is required. Cancellations/No shows
Cancelled appts are perfectly acceptable if a minimum of 48hrs notice is provided with a rational reason. Cancellation within 48hrs notice may mean loss of earnings due to not enough time to fill the cancelled appt slot. If this is a case
I run 3 strikes you're out policy. 1st appt can be rebooked when suits both parties, 2nd appt will be rebooked with a fair warning of an added cancellation fee of 50% of groom price for loss of earnings, 3rd appt will be rebooked
with 50% deposit required upon booking and full price of groom when completed. Any further cancellation rebooks will be turned down. If you have an appt booked and do not cancel within time or do not show up for your appt at all OR more than 15 minutes AFTER appt slot start time given at booking, you may be turned away due to time between appts and
upon rebook, the same above 3 strikes you're out applies. Behavioural issues
Working with dogs can on occasion mean working with a dog that is unpredictable/not cooperative and show signs of aggression. In these cases, suitability to the groom and safety for both myself and the dog will be assessed thoroughly
ensuring it is safe/not safe to continue. I do have muzzles in such cases, and will always try my very best for the welfare of the dog to ensure a completed groom is done. However, failure to mention at time of booking/prior to booking
that dog is aggressive/awkward/does not like the grooming process can mean that the dog is turned away, only partially groomed and incur an aggression charge AND full price of the groom, depending. Sadly, dogs that are known to show
aggression and have a bite history will not be tolerated again due to solo working and safety of all those involved will be turned down. As the salon is run on a 1-on-1 basis it does mean that there is only ever 1 dog or multiple from the same household in the salon at any one time, however as my salon is home based and inside my home it does mean that my personal dogs
do bark when new people/dogs come in and out, this is a working progress and I know is not ideal as it can be loud and disruptive, they do calm down and stop barking once handover is completed and customers have left. I can only
apologize in advance for this. Equipment/Staff issues
on very rare occasions, groomer will need to alter/rearrange appts due to equipment failure and/or sickness. As disappointing as this can be if this does occur, as much notice as physically possible will be provided
and alternative arrangements made. Fleas/Other transmittable ailments
Fleas are sadly increasingly common, should your dog be brought into the salon with notice or without notice of fleas an automatic charge of £15 will be added to the full price of the groom due to the extra precautions needed to be taken once
the dog has left, the charge will include x2 washes with deflea treatment and a prevention spray when finished to help keep fleas at bay. Should the dog be brought in with any other transmittable ailment be that skin condition, fungal illness such as ring worm or sickness bug the appt should be first checked with the dogs vet it is suitable to go ahead or cancelled with
acceptable notice and rearranged. I am happy to accommodate those dogs with special vet prescribed shampoos and will always work within dogs allergy level with regard to coat spray and finishing perfumes etc. If there are known allergies or sensitivity to such, please make
aware at time of booking. Covid
In sight of the current global pandemic, exceptions can be made for cancellations/no shows for positive covid cases. As you are bringing your dog into my home, please ensure that you are completely clear of covid. I test on a x3 week
basis to ensure that I am clear to go ahead with the grooms I have booked in.
