Nellie came in recently for her first ever groom😍

Because it was her first time I made sure I went at her pace and that she was comfortable with EVERYTHING🤍

Hi, everyone.

I am going to be closing my books until
‼️JANUARY 2025‼️

This means no more new doggies, unfortunately.

All of my regular clients are still able to block book and carry on as normal.

I am so busy, which is AMAZING, but due to personal reasons I am having to just stick with the number of dogs I have now.

If I ever get a cancellation I will post on my story the date and time, so anyone (not just my regulars) has the opportunity to get in😊

☀️SUMMER TIPS☀️

Although the sun hasn’t come out much this year, I still wanted to share some of the best tips for helping keeping your dogs cool during these months🌸

These tips are really important as HEAT STROKE can be very dangerous, and if you think your dog has symptoms of heat stroke - CONTACT YOUR VET ASAP‼️

Symptoms of heat stroke are easily explained on the PDSA website (I will put a link at the bottom of this caption)⏬️

Lastly, always be mindful that our pups have a coat on them 24/7, whereas we can take our layers off; we need to be responsible for keeping them as cool as we can😎

How amazing are his curls💫

Teddy came in for a FULL GROOM where I did the following:
- filed his nails
- cleaned his ears
- wiped his teeth clean
- double wash and blow dry
- full body clipped
- scissored to tidy
- spray to finish

And, he was amazing throughout! Such a natural on the grooming table🩵

INTRODUCING YOUR PUPPY TO THE WORLD OF GROOMING🐾

I always get lots of questions about when new owners should get their pups into the salon, and the answer is . . .

STRAIGHT AWAY !!
(as soon as they have had their vaccines)🩵

This is SO important for them and I highly recommend doing this as well as home grooming from the day you get them !

Summer is upon us, which means HAY FEVER is, too🌻

As humans, we know how to manage hay fever, but unfortunately, our dogs don’t🐶

Here are some signs that your dog may suffer from seasonal allergies/ hay fever👀

If you notice any of these, make an appointment with your vet and see what they suggest, as they may be able to help where I can’t🌿

🌟BEAUTIFUL BINDI🌟

Bindi comes in for a full groom every 8 weeks👌🏻

She has such a fluffy coat that she needs regular grooms to avoid mats and knots☁️

Bindi always poses for me at the end of her appointment, which makes me think she is happy with her new do ! ! !

Ruby came in today for her first ‘SUMMER CUT’🕶️

This is still a fluffy look, however, it is shorter all over the body and areas where the dog gets warm, armpits, paw pads, under ears, are clipped out/ clipped shorter💅

This ensures they can regulate their body temperature during the summer months efficiently🐾

This is perfect for wool coated dogs - if you want this new cut for your dog during the summer months, just ask before the groom :)

Hi, everyone :)

I am becoming so so busy which is AMAZING, but, it also means that people are having to wait longer for appointments!

This is why I would love all of my regular customers to block book their appointments - this is booking 2/3 appointments in advance so that you are guaranteed appointments for when your dog is due.

After every appointment, I will also book another one so that you ALWAYS have 2/3 appointments coming up☑️

If you are one of my regulars, and would like this, just message and I will block book your appointments in😁

This avoids any wait time for your appointments, which is very important for your dog, as the long wait between grooms can be bad for their coat health and can be uncomfortable for them if the coat becomes matted or knotted🐾

Elmo here is a SPRINGAPOO, but, as you can see, he is all spring and no poo…

He comes every 8 weeks for a full groom where I take him very short and tidy up his furnishings - PERFECT for a pet🌟

Elmo and Belle are BFF’s; he came in for a catch up after his groom (they had lots to talk about)🤞🏼

Who knew all these flowers were poisonous?

Make sure if they are in your garden/ house to keep your dog away from them👍🏼

If you know your dog has eaten some, or drank the same water as them, see/ ring the vets IMMEDIATELY‼️

Newness in the salon😍

Toothbrushes you can now purchase from me!

2 pack: the long one which is best for back teeth, and the smaller one for the front teeth🦷

At the moment, I wipe every dog’s teeth with a dental wipe and toothpaste, but now, you can get these toothbrushes which help to reduce plaque build up and remove any food/ debris on the teeth👀

Now, if you purchase one of these, I can do a deep clean of your dog’s teeth! You get one from me before/ after any groom for £5, or add it on whilst booking👌🏻

Then, bring back for future appointments so your dog’s teeth are cleaned every time✨

💨WASH AND BLOW-DRY💨

Not all of our fury friends need their hair cutting😁

At the salon, I offer a ‘wash and blow-dry’🐶

This also includes:
- nail trim
- ear clean
- and any tidying up the breed may need

Washing your dog’s coat helps to keep them clean, as well as smelling FABULOUS!

It is important to get this done regularly, as during this process I can see onto the dog’s skin, meaning I can check for any ticks/ scabs/ new moles, as well as the coat’s health, and relay this back to owners🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

It also removes any dead coat the dog might have, creating room for all of the new hairs to grow🥰

So, make sure you look after your short coated dogs, too, and get them booked in for a pamper🫧

Just because they don’t need a hair cut, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t visit the groomers! 🧼
