It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the permanent closure of Breed Above.

This has been an extremely difficult decision and not one that has been made lightly.

Since opening our doors we have managed to withstand 3 recessions, a global pandemic and a financial crisis, for which we are very proud. However this final year and the decline of our high Street has sadly been too much for our small business to withstand.

It has been our absolute pleasure to serve our community for the past 17 years and we will miss you all and your hounds terribly.

Your support and your friendships have meant more to us than you could ever know and we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you.

We will endeavour to keep you all updated until our final day of trading and hope we get to see you all in person before that time. For now, this is goodbye.

** We understand the concern over our own label dog food. We currently have a large amount in stock and are working on a solution going forward for our customers

**UPDATE*** It seems Claire is well known in the area and causing a nuisance to many of our local business'. I have reported the incident to Cleveland Police and am awaiting their response. Please urge any business' you know have had issues with her to make a report to the police and let's see if we can actually get something done about her! **TAG THEM BELOW AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO REPORT IT. THE POLICE CANT ACT IF THEY DONT KNOW** So we had this delightful little creature in store yesterday who seemingly forgot to pay for her items on the way out! We are very sure that this must have been a mistake so if anybody happens to know her and would like to tag her, I'm sure she would want to rectify the situation! We work extremely hard to try and make ends meet but sadly, as a small business, we are up against it from all angles. This behaviour is absolutely the last thing we need, nor will it be tolerated in this store. I would be most grateful for a name.
