Unfortunately My mum passed away yesterday afternoon. Absolutely devastated, broken and grieving beyond words she was taken far too soon and we are dealing with the shock. Please know that animals are still being well cared for and future bookings will still go ahead but I may be away from my phone more than usual during this difficult time.

Having your own business is both a blessing and a curse! I absolutely love what I do but it also ties me down almost 24/7 with no days off or sick days!

As you’re aware I have some family matters going on at the moment. My mum is unfortunately very poorly and I may have to be on hand to spend more time with her at short notice. With this in mind I have taken on the much needed help of Hajra Bibi of Titch's pet resort. She’s worked with me for nearly a year now and has been a client even longer!!!
But she’s taking on a more active roll here at Happy Hoppers, Iv taught her everything I know, she’s got the work ethic of an ox!! 😂 so between me, her and my poor hubby we will keep Happy Hoppers running smoothly for you all during this difficult time of life. You may see Hajra or my hubby, James at the door a little more often than usual coming up but rest assured your pets will still be getting the same standard of care, better than ever.

Hi all. Just a polite notice to remind everyone to please let me know if you can’t make your bonding bookings. Iv had 4 cancellations this month so far but two haven’t even let me know so not only do I lose money for my bills and supplies it’s such short notice I can’t fill the spot with others who are desperately waiting.
I love what I do and being able to help people but this is also my full time job and losing money and time this way will eventually mean I just can’t continue.

I have made the decision that from tomorrow I will be now taking booking deposits for bondings only. I hate to do this as I do have a long wait list and things really do change all the time but the time it takes for me to respond to messages, make the bookings, give pre booking advice, answer lots of questions etc for people just not to show up or even contact me is painstaking.

Hi all. Well summer holidays are here! And the start of a really busy few weeks for us here

Iv almost survived the first busy weekend … but a couple of things to mention.

I’m going to have to enforce the drop/collection times again. Iv been really flexible but when there’s lots of you and I have daughter / family plans to think about Iv realised I also need time to eat too 🤣

So drops and collections will need to be between 8.30am-10am and 4pm - 6pm. Please contact me for available slots.

I know flight delays and traffic happens so please let me now if you need times to stretch a little and keep me updated.

The other thing that would be so helpful is please label your food and carriers. It saves me time and means I can have everyone’s bits in order.

Hey All.
There’s a planned road closure just by Happy Hoppers, on Ravensbank Road from today for 5 days!! This is the main road just before you turn in to reach my road.
At the moment it’s totally block with diversions that take you all the way around the other side.
Hopefully it won’t cause to much disruption and can reassure you can still get to me but may take a few minutes longer.

BONDING
As you know I offer bonding services
I don’t bond during school holidays mainly due to the work involved with helping bunnies become friends, I’m up through the night and won’t leave the bunnies sides especially for the first 48 hours. It can be hard work, physically and emotionally plus lots of time helping and supporting owners past and present. Iv recently been so lucky to be asked by two local rescues to help with their bonding lists so even more bunnies can be helped and find homes asap. This as well as the up coming school holidays has of course caused my wait list to increase a lot more than it’s ever been. I’m forever grateful that so many of you choose me to help your lovely pets but please do be patient with me and I will always try to fit as many in as soon as I can without compromising care

How cute is Valentine, this stunning bouncy cheeky bunny is still looking for his forever home.

He is only a young boy, full of energy and a joy to care for, he loves making you laugh and is a complete character.

Valentine has been neutered, fully vaccinated and is ready to find his forever family.

Well that’s another year coming to an end! We’ve had a few personal ups and downs - some meltdowns, and lots of wine along the way! But looking forward to a new year and onwards and upwards!
