It might be Ho Ho Ho at Christmas but this June it's Hot Hot Hot!! As a licensed business we have protocols in place to keep dogs safe when the weather is challenging. For example in this hot spell we keep thermostats in different parts of the campus to track heat & humidity while we have extra water bowls around and about and, of course, a lovely paddling pool for some cooling games. We have designated cool rooms, inside and some lovely shady spots with comfy armchairs outside and we moderate which dogs go off-site for exercise - though we are lucky enough to have some nice cool woodland to take them to first thing in the morning. Most dogs will self-regulate but we'll also manage those who seem solar powered!
